A short-short roleplay.
Basically, the characters are all protesters in a protest riot. You have to avoid getting arrested, but at the same time still cause trouble. If your character gets beaten down, chokes on tear gas, or gets caught in a tactical scheme by riot police, then they become arrested and you cannot rejoin.
When all players have either been arrested or have fled the streets, then the roleplay ends with a news report.

I like nitpicking; what are the riots going to usually be around? What's the background of the reasons behind the riots? |

I bet that if Dex10awesome posted this a year ago Bebi wouldn't have given his support. |
|
|
I wouldn't now.
And he couldn't come up with this anyways. |
|
|
Well, are we doing this or not? |
|
QuilboarJoin Date: 2010-05-17 Post Count: 18911 |
maybe.
It could either be a typical riot for political reasons, or a riot due to things that foreshadow an apocalypse. [Food shortage, mass pollution, etc.] |
|
|
Are we allowed skills and such?
Like maybe minor skills in making explosives like molotovs, or street brawling and such? |

It depends on the severity of the riot. The use of lethal weapons will result in cops shooting you down, though.
Fistfighting, smashing things, throwing and running will be the main skills you'll need to succeed. |

maybe you have to do past a certain threshold of damage to win the thread
also a map should be drawn with some objectives labelled out for you to beat |

@alpha
Hmm. Well, I guess there's several different endings. Some are better than others. I think these will all be possible endings, from worst to best.
-You get killed in the riots. Whether or not your cause succeeded doesn't matter, because you're dead.
-You get arrested and the protesters' motivations are ignored by politicians.
-You avoid getting arrested and the protesters' motivations are ignored by politicians.
-You get arrested, but the riots cause the government to make changes.
-You avoid getting arrested, and the riots cause the government to make changes. |

If a lot of damage is caused and you are seen committing the acts, you will get harsher punishments if you are arrested, and police security tightens. However, if enough damage is caused, the government will give into the rioters' demands.
However, if you character is seriously injured, gets a hard sentence, or both, it can also effect the ending. |
|
|
But what are the motivations though? |

I got one.
The US experiences a wave of violent crime and several diseases break out. The economy is bad, and people begin to riot over not receiving free healthcare. |

The empire of tyranny, or so the numerous victims across the land calls it, is a underdeveloped country domestically - all of it's funds, earned and stolen in battle, moves towards the militaristic face of the country under order by the sovereign, a tyrant whose ambitious ideals have instigated many wars or deaths under reason of expanding borders and 'uniting' the world under his rule.
Mobilizing for yet another war, many protestors gather in Desutre Square after many years of enduring tributes and conscription. With many soldiers already on the offensive march, the immoral police, given control by their cruelty to intimidate the population into order, rush to intercept the protestors... |

It sounds like an interesting sort of...what do you call them again? OST or something? I think it's when you make a character and try to survive, but they'll likely die or fail eventually. I don't know if ROBLOX RPers even use that term.
Also, Bebi no offense, but I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. |

Eh, one of the main things in this roleplay is that you probably won't die, you'll just get arrested. Cops are not going to fire into the crowd with assault rifles or anything.
A dystopian-esque United States or some other country set in a deteriorating world would be fine. |
