Support, but ide like all the surfaces to stay collidable. |
|
|
That'll take a while then. Remember, lets get this implemented first, then we'll see what we can do about the Can collide feature. |

This needs, and I quote "NEEDS" to be implemented

suggested this a while ago
but as it was ignored, I'll support this and hope it gets through
this is necessary for a lag-free ROBLOX
:o |

If you mean about not being in ROBLOX studio then I agree, otherwise it would just be plain exploiting if it were to be a in-game type thing, which would enable the option to weather you can copy a ROBLOXians place (Exploiting). Otherwise, If not I don't know what your talking about your logic seems sophisticated or 'Complicated'. Anyways, nice logic man. Good job. |

Yes! I think this is a great idea! Support |

100% support, and I don't give that often. |

You can script it, because Roblox blocked off mesh files from being displayed to other users, unless they're certified by Roblox for public use. |

I support this as an idea, but only physics would be affected. Rendering, not at all, as you're still rendering the same visible faces.
ImplicitNgine is designed to simulate the collisions between a large number of simple primitives, such as the 1000 part bus you describe. Or for example the 100 part or so CoR 8.0 guns. It works fine as-is. |

reduced number of physics calculations are really all that matters here (and i think most people here will agree), since roblox is extremely optimized to run on the gt series cards, ati cards, and integrated gpus which the majority of the roblox playerbase uses (removal of bevels helped a lot). to my knowledge, roblox's rendering is only handled client side + it doesn't contribute nearly as much to the crashes on load which tend to occur with massive brick counts (latency is the ultimate limiter when designing a game on roblox, if the server can't handle everything smoothly then the game is kaput until you sacrifice something). |
