I got access to it, just play the featured game on the first page, makes you install rbxplayer, then just open up studio.

There once was a Mesh converter back in 2006-2008, it was removed due to players making inappropriate meshes. That explains the M4A1, MP5, Ak47, Hand grenade, etc... Meshes the only customized meshes, which means there was a Mesh converter.

^ It wasn't converting bricks to mesh, it was uploading meshes. Stupid users making dirty stuff T_T

Its always those people ruining it for others. And they enjoy ruining it for others ._.

Heads up, they removed it. From what my sources tell me, they're looking to contact a 3d company to help make the system more efficient to the fullest extent Roblox can manage.

@Orlando If ROBLOX pulled that off, that would be amazing. Here's my siggy... Done.

I had a feeling it would be very unoptimized, just take a look at Blender's boolean modifier. :3 What if instead they had a "Mesh" object that inherits from the "Model" object, but can only take parts. It could also be transferred as a single object (json, whatnot), that aways it would load "as one" type thing. OR Mesh object, like a model and a part: only takes MeshParts, PhysMeshParts, and other things a part can have as children. MeshPart, like a part, but can't have any children; is renderable and has no physics. PhysMeshParts are like a part, but can't have any children; is *not* renderable and *has* physics. The two above allows for physics optimization. The Mesh object acts like a single part - at its center are where particles and such go. -- Can also have an 'offset' parameter, to show where the *Real* origin is. The Mesh objects' MeshPart & PhysMeshParts cannot be modified after game runs. Thoughts?

So what's going on with the CSG modeler? They added it to gametest and now took it off. Whats going on?

@Orlando, It's on GT4, or at least should be. They've disabled uniform scaling for unioned parts at the moment and set the poly limit to 2500 at the moment. They're hoping to increase it at some point.

Also: Try to save the file as a .rbxm, and see how it's stored, to figure out if you can use it to load custom meshes. Could be exploited, or used really, really nicely. :P

+VirtualDarks couldn't they just make it like, classify each face as collidable in a seperate file?

#136367708Sunday, June 08, 2014 12:56 PM GMT

+AviatorRock It works just like grouping, when you group several items, say, a chair and a desk, it combines them and they now have different shared collide faces.
