As someone who made their username SimAlien for no apparent reason (I don't know what I was thinking) I can get totally behind this. Maybe don't make infinite free name changes though. Making the first one free and the rest cost Robux sounds good. Also 1000 Robux might be a bit much. 400 Robux, maybe? |

1000 Robux to change a name. It's poetic, really, it's a price higher than many clothing items, it truly shows that no amount of covering up your body can equate to changing your true self.
But in all seriousness, as someone who has the name my account has, I can get behind name changes. Make it the worst name change system ever for all I care, put a 3 month time limit like Google, and it restarts every time you try to change your name during the time period even though you get no indication of how long you must wait (no actually don't do that, google's system is garbage). Just give some kind of long, clear time you have to wait, a month at least, a year at most. |

if someone actually wants their name changed, they'd make a new account. If you dont have any robux then your account isnt worth anything, so making a new one wouldnt change anything |

@Rxbust There will be lots of accounts with some robux, but not enough to change their name. My sister I are amongst the accounts in this position. Also, the account they want a name changed on will most likely have many items from when tix were around and from events, so people would have to choose items or name, both of which lead to other players judging you for good or bad. |

I agree with you! I wanted to change my name but I only have 0 robux and its not fair for the new players or people who cant even buy robux. Let the name changer be free and stop being so greedy. Like ugh |

No. I'd support halving it maybe, but I don't think it being free would be a very good idea.
When you change your name, your previous name still remains unavailable to new users doesn't it? If everyone was able to change their name for free the amount of availability for new users would be down. |

I support this idea, however instead of making the system free you could either:
Let the user change it once for free, and then have to pay if they want to change it again
OR
Allow users change their name once for free each year. |

No support. I'm fairly certain that your former usernames cannot be used anymore. There's millions of accounts on this site meaning that very quickly the only names left would be gibberish nonsense or just putting tons of numbers at the end. The fee is there for a reason.
