We should have the option to use the old materials along with the new ones. My place looked better with the old grass, wood, slate, and concrete, but I like the addition of the extra materials like sand and bricks. The old materials could be added back and called something like "Classic Grass" or "Old Slate". (Please make it clear if you are supporting, nothing like "Well, I 40% support" or "I guess this sounds good". Thank you.)

While I think the new materials look cool and all, I still will miss the old ones. Roblox should add a MaterialVersion property to the parts so we can change between classic, smooth, and new.

wow people. you just want everything to be toggle able. sooner or later we will have toggle able things like... *option to use the print() feature when scripting. *option to be able to sit. *option to turn on bevels and more embarressing things like that.

Support. I honestly had no clue what the new materials were before looking at the names (With the exception of Diamond Plate and Foil, which are obvious.). Honestly, the new grass texture was shocking enough that I decided not to build. I use grass as a material for grass, trees, and really any type of vegetation. Now, all the plants in my games look like they're made of carpet :P

I support. ROBLOX is about freedom to the builders, so of course I think that the old materials should be an OPTION, but at the same time I understand why they want people using the NEW grass vs the old grass. The old grass was pretty bad. YET AT THE SAME TIME, the old grass looked more like dead grass. The new grass is more lively, so the old grass fits more for spooky games. Concrete was a good substitute for concrete, ice was one for gold and water, therefore we should have all of them back.

Copied from a reply I tried to leave on the Blog, but it told me I was 'Posting too fast' after trying just once. Bah! Okay ROBLOX, I like some of the NEW textures, but leave the plastic smooth. Parts that are supposed to be smooth (like metal or glass) now have a texture. Also, you CHANGED THE DIRECTION of the wood grain! I like the new look, but when I build I always make the wood grain the longest direction in my bricks. All my wood now looks like it was 'cut' sideways and in real construction would break under a load. This is one of my pet peeves when people build with wood. Now do I have to rotate and resize EVERY piece of wood in ALL my places? Another thing I notice is wedges now have a 'lined' pattern in the triangle side of them that makes it look almost like siding on a house (with plastic and grass anyway) when you are farther than about 8 studs away. When you are closer it seems to disappear.
