...instead of just updating symbols and layouts for no reason.
Some people don't like the new layout. I find it bland and lifeless, and it looks uncompleted.
BUT, the fact that you updated the layout instead of adding some of our much-needed forum tools concerns me more than how bad the layout looks.
You can keep the layout. [in my opinion it's still bad] But at least work on actually improving a few things.
ADD:
-An actual signature system
-User-made forum titles [It displays when you post. You could call yourself various things. Ex: "OTer", "Veteran RPer", "Alt", "Kaiser of the Forums", etc.
-The ability to edit and delete your own posts & threads [Admins would be able to see previous versions of edited posts, as well as all deleted ones.]
-A search bar that actually works
-Italics and bold text
-The ability to change the colour of text
-The ability to change the new layout's colours |

1) Sure. It's needed.
2) 'User-made' -> No. If anything the titles should be premade by admins, and given to people who have the retirements for the title.
3) No. Users should not have the ability to edit, or delete, their own posts. The community would abuse it to make other users look bad. I'm dead against this control over what you post. When you post you should make sure it reflects what you really want to say.
4) Support.

6) No support. This isn't needed, plus you would have some people who would overly use it (colouring each letter differently, etc)
7) Perhaps.

IF a post is edited, it could simply display "Edited" under it.
Or, if that's not enough, it could say how many characters were edited. |
