I am currently tasked with the project of a Vietnam War simulater, currently, I have quite a few 'un-implemented ideas,' but I would like feedback on each of them; first up, what should the map environment be like? I currently am in favor of a mixture of swamp and jungle warfare, as high-waters would allow people to successfully sneak through the map, and Jungles would be great for sharpshooters to seek-out when they are going to try to attack a target.
Another idea that I am pretty confident in it's success, is to make players have to strategize against their opponents, they would have to set up Convoys to transfer supplies to the coordinating team's Firebases, meaning the hostile team could set up a road-block, and ambush the convoy. (Players can find barricades such as razor wire, plank barricades, bear traps, and land mines to fortify roads, however there will be more than one route through the map.)
Currently, the game will be seeing Alpha Version 0.0.1 soon, the Colt M16A1 model has already been complete and scripted, the AK-47 is underway, and wont take long to be complete.
