A cooking forum would be neat, cookers can share their recipes and talk about ideas for recipes, and consumers can talk about their favorite foods, restaurants and such. Granted, you could talk in OT about it. But as an OTer myself, OT is boiling melting pot of trolls and other "edgy" people, and most don't even cook.

Off Topic is good enough. If we had a forum for every little thing we'd have a billion forums with no real significance.

Truth hurts. We don't need a forum for everything. Just one forum for anything. Aka off topic.

This would go in the 'Off Topic' Forum aka 'OT' Forum

Maybe we could post recipes in OT- but I honestly don't think the reaction to it would be very pleasant, just like the original post said.

Making a single forum post for this in OT would be easy. An example of this: Make the thread [name doesn't matter] [info and stuff here + recipes and w/e else] track the thread Bump it occasionally to get it back to first page [don't go bump happy or this will never get to be a serious thread and most people wont give it a second look. Keep posting on it. If it fails oh well. I've contributed more of an idea than anyone here who actually wants this added as a forum in a reply to the OP.

Cahier, books, movies, television, music, video games and sports all could fit into OT, but they still have their own forums. Many people in OT don't cook, and almost none will be bothered to read a recipe they find.
