Scottie Pippen? Dennis Rodman? Horace Grant? MJ has had some great teammates that he's played with. He didn't win a ring until those guys came and played with him. So, GOAT? Maybe. But he's also overrated (I'll get hate for that), because no one brings Scottie and Rodman (2 Hall of Famers) into the discussion. It's always "Jordan this, Jordan that". Of course, every legend had their counterparts. Larry Bird had DJ, McHale, and Parrish. Magic had James Worthy. Tim Duncan had David Robinson, Tony Parker, and Ginobli. Shaq had Kobe. Dirk had J-Kidd, Caron Butler, and Tyson Chandler. LeBron has D-Wade and Bosh. Allen Iverson had Dikembe Mutombo. Gary Payton had Shawn Kemp. Paul Pierce had KG, Ray Allen, and Rondo. Every championship winner had their counter parts who were just as good or almost as good as them. So please stop comparing the MVPs of each team and start comparing the team itself. I'll remind you that LeBron was a 2 time MVP with Cleveland, but he had no support there. It's not the player that wins it all, it's the team. Okay, rant over.

Yup. LeBron is just as skilled as Jordan in most areas (if not better), AND he's supremely athletic. However, I think last year will be his last championship on the Heat. Not because LeBron isn't as good, but because his team isn't. I don't believe D-Wade has had a 20 point game yet. Bosh is Bosh. And the rest of the team is either decent or mediocre. So LeBron is going to have to go Cleveland-Mode in Miami unless the rest of his team steps up.

If the rest of Miami steps up, I could see them winning a 3rd straight championship. But I highly doubt it, since now the Pacers have lost TWICE to them in the playoffs, they won't lose a third time. hi im 9, i invest my time in pixels

@Obby, Oh no, it looks like another Jordan hipster fanboy who thinks MJ is unstoppable in every way, shape, and form. Bron is a better defender.

I actually have watched a bit of MJ games which Scar you have not... You are only backing LBJ because you are a heat bangwagon who doesn't even know his own name. Kobe is the only legitimate opponent in the NBA right now LBJ would just be average in the 90s... There will never be a more star packed time than the 90s in the NBA. By the way there is no such thing as Defense in this generations NBA... Blocked Shots do not mean defense that is just one thing that happens in defense which tends to happen when someone drives the lane or throws a floater on someone who is bigger.

Oh look another idiot who never actually watched MJ play and is only going off popular opinion like the rest of society. If you watched MJ, he was an on-ball defender. Besides that he had no impact on defense. LBJ can dominate anywhere on defense. ================================================================================== Popular opinion yes, but LBJ is just the better athlete that's it. and honestly there are no teams playing hard-nose defense on a daily basis outside of maybe the Pacers and the bulls on occasion and that's as on a whole team basis not by player basis, but if we want to do a defensive stat comparison lets do so http://www.michaeljordansworld.com/comparison_current_stars.htm http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=jordami01&y1=1988&p2=jamesle01&y2=2010 and I'd like to point out the comparssion is done when Jordan won his Defensive player of the year and Lebron won Defensive player of the year and MVp in the same season (the first time he was nominated

like tgross and yoyo, I've never heard of him as a one-man team, I always AT LEAST hear "Pippen" being brought up to the topic when MJ is mentioned and i think both MJ and LBJ are good defenders, but LBJ is more elusive and can adjust to zone, man-to-man, everything, MJ was more of a right-to-the-ball kinda guy.

Lets compare a prime season of Kobe, Jordan, LeBron. Each will be their first NBA Title. reminder in this link Kobe is 21 and his 4th season, Bron is 27 in his 9th season and MJ is 27 in his 7th http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=jordami01&y1=1991&p2=jamesle01&y2=2012&p3=bryanko01&y3=2000
