You must be using a Macintosh, OP. Jokes aside, ROBLOX might be trying to rebalance the overall connections for other people's in-gaming experiences by lowering latency for a cost of Frames. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hod0WtYE4SA <-- What's really good!?!?!?

But it's not my connection, my internet is SLOW, yes, but gameplay is smooth, other than when someone is downloading something, but then the only problem is internet speed. ALSO: I just deleted the Temp files, the Roblox folder, and EMPTIED THE RECYCLE bin, then uninstalled the Roblox Player, and the reinstalled, and I was able to play for an hour on one server. Proving that it's not my connection, but a glitch. However, I had to leave, because it was the 'Choices' game, and I reset, so it glitched out. (lol) But when I rejoined, it shutdown after a few minutes again. I'll try doing the same process and seeing if it works. ᕙ(●︹●)ᕗ

My CPU is NOT overheating at all, that doesn't even make any sense. My computer is not a problem. I often have up to 8 windows of Roblox Studio and it doesn't lag, just trying to compare something here. Roblox Studio is much larger than ONE RobloxPlayerBeta client. ᕙ(●︹●)ᕗ

It's so unfair. When roblox has events/gifts I can't win them, because I always shutdown after 5-10 minutes. Like one badge I must get for a gift is one that takes probably half an hour. I have all the other badges, but I won't win the 'impossible' gift, just because I shutdown too frequently. THIS IS NOT COOL, ROBLOX, NOT COOL. ᕙ(●︹●)ᕗ

WHAT I HATE THE MOST IS THAT A MODERATOR, ROBLOX STAFF, ANYONE EXPERIENCED, THEY NEVER HELP ME. OR EVEN SUGGEST STUFF, DANGIT. There is NO logical reason, but roblox keeps making events, and ever since august I have failed most of the events, because I crash. Roblox is BASED around playing and building games, and I can't do that. ᕙ(●︹●)ᕗ

It could be about your RAM (Random access Memory). Maybe it's too low like about 2 or 3. Mine is 3 GB and 3 GB is too much for ROBLOX but it stills lags so thats a ROBLOX bug. See youtube videos and other websites, other than that all I know that it could not be your computer, it could be ROBLOX it self.

Define " lag spike. " Fps, or Ping Lag? If it's Ping lag then it will likely have something to do with your internet connection to ROBLOX. Try disabling your firewall, or allowing ROBLOX in whatever firewall software you use, and try doing a DNS Flush, and as a last resort try using a proxy server on ROBLOX to see if you still get these lag spikes. If It's FPS lag, then I'm going to have to assume ROBLOX is causing your CPU and GPU to overheat, since it's around 10-15 minutes of playing. Try running a temperature test and post the results.

ROBLOX Can use a LOT more than 3 gigs of RAM, most games now recommend 4, some even 6 - 8 GB's of RAM. However this is more of a long term problem with playing games, 15 minutes wouldn't cause too much usage so quickly.

This is quite an old thread, finally fixed itself after a month and a half of it. Issue is resolved, though. Їℕ✞∃ℛℜ☮ℬѦℕḠ‽
