I already downloaded the studio and ROBLOX player. And guess what it said It said the download button. Ever since that update its been doing that. and I remember about a year ago downloading. You've ought to fix this Roblox.

Reboot first. If it still doesn't work reinstall ROBLOX.

I have this issue currently; I have already re-booted my laptop and downloaded the application numerous times. I've had Roblox player downloaded on this laptop for a few years, and I've had no issues until now. Basically, I went to follow a friend, and the site told me to download Roblox player, so I did. I would hit the "Play" button and then be told to Download Roblox again. I get it Roblox, I've downloaded it 13 times now. I've restarted and deleted the application numerous times, to no success. I've also logged out and in and launched it, as well. No success here; the site is just telling me things I already know...
