Make the changing name price less than 1,000 robux. For some reason, my friend said reduce price, and everyone said 'no, its fine'
Think about it:
You have 1,000 robux. You change your name. Now you have 0 robux. The change name price is now 500 robux. You have 1,000 robux. You change your name. Now you have 500 robux. That's more than 0. So, idk why everyone wanted it to stay as 1K... |

Because the point of the name changing is to change to a new name you want.
It's not there to let people change their name over and over.
1k Robux is perfectly fine as a price for a new name. |

Stop complaining about having no currency on this gameing site.
Either make clothing and have Builders Club to sell them for the currency.
Or make a group and sell clothing there as a shop, like some War groups will do to earn money by Uniforms.
Build a game, you don't want to to earn the currency? Then stop complaining.

Changing your name is a pretty big deal. I would have even requested to raise the price a bit higher for that matter.
ROBLOX has never put a feature up like this before. Back then, players would have to go on info@roblox and send a request to change their names to something they would much rather prefer having. So yeah, it was exclusive to some of the more fortunate.
And it still is... kinda. If people kept changing their names, it would hide their past identity and still continue to pose a threat to society. It's funny how they earn their money just to use it for bad deeds.
To prevent this, they have to make some exceptions. They won't lower it anytime soon.

I know what you guys mean but thats not my point. It is a big deal however, wouldn't you rather it was 500RS than 1K? If not then you must be messed up somewehre along the lines. If Its 500, you save 500. If its 1000, you save nothing! (If you have 1K). I'm not being funny but you must rather it be 500 than 1000. |

Exactly. So If It's lower, you can change it again if you really want to. It's not other peoples choices how many times someone can change their name. It's on ROBLOX for a purpose. To change it...And some people can't afford to. Like newcomers. They hate their name; oh wait, no robux. 1K is too much. |

Everyone, he isn't asking for the price to be lowered (I don't think), he's asking if you would prefer to pay R$500 or R$1000.
If I was standing in a moderator position (I usually do), I would see that paying a lower price can harm Roblox and I would choose the higher price. (I know I'm not a mod)
Although, if I was standing in a player position, I would only see the benefits of paying less for myself and I would choose the cheaper option.
In which case, as I stand in a moderator position (As do most players here) I would have to say no support.

No, I would not rather have it cheaper. I prefer not having people changing their name every other week.

There are variety of reasons it costs 1,000 R$ to change your username. I'll give you a few.
Changing your name doesn't free up the old one. You are essentially taking up 2 usernames with one account, and Roblox wants to discourage that.
To fully understand the logic behind it, you've got to look at it from Roblox's perspective, from the perspective of a businessman. For the vast majority of people, to get 1,000 robux you need to buy BC or robux. Much of Roblox's revenue is from those purchases. Now let's say they lower it to 500 robux. There is now decreased incentive to buy BC and robux, so fewer people buy them.
Roblox's primary objective as a corporation is to maximize profit. Lowering the price of changing your username does not achieve that.
