Hello ROBLOX User, Introduction - I realized Reflectance is just the skybox reflected onto the brick itself, which really isn't "reflected," when I think of "reflected" I think of a mirror, but, when apply a certain amount of "Reflectance" it just appears as the skybox. Idea - ROBLOX should implement an update to ROBLOX Studio, with Rendering the property Reflectance to actually make it reflect like a mirror, so than ROBLOX Users can make mirrors without the hassle of trying to script it and/or use surface gui's, etc. But, as usual, the ROBLOX Community would complain, as they did with the Price Floor update, etc. So, for an addition to my idea, you should allow the Mirror Reflectance (or whatever you would like to call it,) and the regular default Reflectance property we have at the moment, so, than ROBLOX Users can still keep there creations that use the Default Reflectance like they are. Conclusion - ROBLOX Users, Forum Community, if your reading this, feel free to send it to the admins, spread the word, etc, because I would love to have this update/idea implemented into studio, so than you (the viewer) and I, can make better creations, buildings, models, and yes, places, here on ROBLOX. Thanks for reading this and if you support this, just share it with your friends, or reply saying you support it. Thanks for Reading, ninjaguy47

@xDarkPwnx That would take time to script, I mean, also for the common ROBLOXian.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFZrzg62Zj0 This idea has been thought by "theologians" such as yourself for years.

i don't think you realize how extensive mirrors are on computer this is an unrealistic suggestion, sorry

@Whelk Unrealism is the fact that it reflects the skybox, but, I think that if we support this, and they develop this, we can have hope, that it will be released, or at least try and support it. :)

I support this idea. With ROBLOX's ever increasing rendering speeds, this is extremely possible. I'll put it up on RBXDev for you, so it's more likely to be noticed. Wiki Profile: http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php/User:Nelson

I support it, but there also should be a BlurAmount value for things like glass and water. The BlureAmount would blur objects behind the brick while reflecting objects in front.

This isn't S&I. Anyways, reflections are expensive when it comes to processing power, so a possible solution would be to reflect reflections on parts from the past frame. That would prevent infinite loops with halls of mirrors and save a lot of processing power in the same way caching works.
