Think of this, people are sending you bad messages and inappropriate and you cannot delete it. So we need to have this to avoid spams in messages and like Delete this whole page each. Now you might say what if you press the delete button and all got deleted? The Solution is when you want to delete the message it says are you sure you want to delete this message? And it will delete. So if you support this we could lessen the spams on the messages and there should be a new label called Important Messages.. So you could move your important messages there and more. Hope you support this.

Just put it in the archive and never look at it again or report it if it honestly bothers you that much

"bad messages and inappropriate and you cannot delete it" Then report them. If they're actually inappropriate they'll be content deleted, along with the username if it's also inappropriate. I personally don't see a point in allowing users to delete messages. Plus, you have some parents who take an active interest in what their child is doing, so by allowing users to delete their messages, they could hide what's being said between themselves and another person. No support.
