Signatures annoy me, that's exactly why I'm suggesting this idea.
People could put in a signature of whatever they want as long as it's not too long.
However, like I said, signatures annoy me. This is where that comes in.
People can have the option to hide all signatures, and not see the little spammy references to stuff nobody cares about.
This would save page space and make people that actually care about signatures happy.
