In my time here at Roblox I've come across some usernames, which are just not what should be on a kids' site, I think that's the best way to put it. There're some users with names that are rude, inappropriate, and just plain offensive. I believe there is a solution to this.
Going back a few years, I remember signing up for a Club Penguin account when I was younger. The moderation there was superb. What I also noticed was the temporary username system.
To get to the point, I think that similar to the Club Penguin system, users should all be given temporary usernames whilst their chosen one is moderated. These names will be something along the lines of "ROBLOXIAN2947596856". When the mods let the user's chosen name through, the user's temporary username is automatically switched to the one they chose. If a name is rejected, it is automatically added to a list of 'inappropriate names' that people signing up for an account cannot enter, similar to the 'used name' system.
Pros:
- No offensive or rude usernames (duh)
- Could allow other characters in the username because users won't be able to split swear-words with an underscore, etc.
- Would encourage mods to be more active within their role (no criticism intended.)
Cons:
- People could be frustrated if they don't get their name switched quickly.
- Could cost the mods time that may be used somewhere else.

Should be "Robloxian ID HERE", instead of "RobloxianID HERE", as a space means other users cant choose that name. |

Spaces couldn't be included in names, as it would break so many fragile scripts.
I'm pretty sure guests have gone wacky somewhere, so don't contradict with that, please. >3< |

And @yoZombie,
Each new player would have an individual ID.
We can tell guests apart from their ID, and they all look the same, so I don't see a problem. |

There's the "change username" for a reason. This would be abused, people would be name changing way too often. And is this as for free, we'd have some serious problems.

Like you said in the cons, people would get extremely frustrated, saving up for 1,000 robux is enough frustration, don't you think? I mean, it's a good idea, just not for bad tempered people who are impatient.

Because in Club Penguin it's P12345678, not penguin12345678, or player12345678.

No. Roblox's demographic has gone below the ideal point. If anything, we need less moderation. We don't want Roblox to be a 7 year old's kid site like club penguin. |

You get the ID if you are just creating your user. |
