Tired of Roblox adding bad updates? Hate being ignored? What I am proposing is the only way to reclaim the power of the consumer.
To understand this, you must first look at the principles of capitalism. If the customers, on a mass scale, refuse to buy the product, the seller is forced to improve the product or risks losing money and going out of business.
That principle of capitalism can be applied to Roblox and its users. Roblox ignores its users because there is no reason to listen to them. Its user base has already been built up, and all Roblox is doing is maximizing the tradeoff between revenue per player and total players.
Theoretically, Roblox should listen and try to please you, because you are the consumer. You must vote with your wallet.
ACTUAL SUBSTANCE OF THIS POST:
You must stop buying BC plans and robux, and if you are NBC use ad block. Or you can quit altogether; that works too. That way, Roblox is forced to cater to the desires of the consumer to profit.
They are a corporation and their number one goal is to profit. We must make it so that to profit they must satisfy the desires of the consumer.
Remember, no one is making you play Roblox. You have to force Roblox to make you want to play.
TL;DR version: If you switch to NBC, Roblox will be forced to listen to its users.
Please, reply to this thread and heed my advice. Distribute the link, put it in your blurb, and tell your friends.
Thanks. |

I honestly don't care if ROBLOX listens to the community. The only thing wrong with ROBLOX IS the community.

There's more wrong with Roblox than the community.
Sure, it's bad, but the more important thing is that Roblox is caring too much about its profits.
That's fine for now. But we must show them as consumers that we are not going to tolerate their actions. Otherwise nothing will change. |

Ahem, no they are not going to give you lifetime OBC. Sorry to burst your bubble. They have to pay for servers, and get food on their table.

I never asked for lifetime OBC.
I'm asking players to send the message to Roblox that to continue to profit it must listen to its users. |

Because getting twenty hundred thousand people to not buy BC is easy. |
|

I never said it was easy. But if we only did easy things, we would get nowhere. |

You are acting like ROBLOX is a game that is bad and needs to be improved, yet it is perfectly vfine and most updates are mostly good. If you want to be able to buy virtual items (which aren't really needed in ROBLOX, as the point of it is to play and develop games) you can make your own GAM!e, or as an alternative, buy bc. Truthfully, the only main benifit to getting builders club is that iot makes it easier to build games with more money. You can get along pe4fectly fine without it, but some people want to spend money to buy virtual items. Be glad that rpblpox is even free in the first place. |

this is the greatest idea I have ever seen.
force roblox to listen to us by slowing down their profits! GENIUS!
This guy gets it!
We will go on strike!
We will bring down future profits of roblox!
We will write petitions till we are listened to!
We are united! |
|
|
Roblox is not bad, per sé.
It may appear to suit your needs, but it is far from perfectly fine.
I know I can make a game or buy BC. I've done that. I also know that I can get along perfectly fine without it, and I am glad that Roblox is free.
But I also understand capitalism. If customers want a higher quality product, and refuse to buy a lower quality one, the seller usually has no choice but to improve their product.

Something that might help is actually detailing what people want out of Roblox. Often these are things like "More BC stuff for NBC" which breaks the payment model and won't happen. Then there are suggestions like "fix things" or "make new things", which aren't helpful.
So if you guys really want to go on strike, step 1 is making sure what you're demanding is reasonable. What do you want? |

@aerospaceman
What particularly irritates me is that you've got a forum like S&I, chock full of good ideas that will make Roblox a much better place. If you want, I'll give you a list of 5 or 10 that would be win-wins for players and admins.
That's not to say it's a bad game, but there is definitely room for improvement. Roblox is a continually evolving game and the only way to make it better is to have higher standards as a consumer. |
|
|
@MrDoomBringer
My main issue is that you've the Suggestions and Ideas forum, a perfectly legitimate way to get ideas from the people who use it most: players.
In theory it is good, but the execution is poor. You've got loads of ideas that are beneficial to Roblox and to the users, but more often than not they fall by the wayside.
I also know that many people take issue with the price floor. I have long argued that it is not in Roblox's best interest to remove it, so the consumer must make it in Roblox's best interest to remove it. |
|
|
The reason I say that S&I should be devoted more time is because while I may not be specific in my demands, those in S&I are. |
|
|
Hey, Doom.
"What is it exactly that you want?"
Removal of the price floor, if you haven't heard already.
|
|
|
@coolblox
It is right now not in Roblox's best interest to remove the price floor. If you want it removed, you must utilize your power as a consumer to MAKE it in their best interest to remove it.
|
|
|
|
@Accessible
Before you get what you want,
you have to make the admins know that's what you want.
For example:
boycott
*liquid games page is removed instead of price floor*
WAIT NO WE WANT PRICE FLOOR REMOVED |

"If you switch to NBC, Roblox will be forced to listen to its users."
YES, GIVE THIS MAN A MEDAL! This means you, BC'ers. |
