if you're going to make that argument (which is mostly legitimate but wrong), I am going to say that most people assume he is a dubstep producer and thus he gives a bad name to dubstep.
And anyways, just because he has different sound than someone like Rameses B or MitiS doesn't mean he is in a different genre.... All three of them conform to the ≈140 bpm tempo marking and have a kick on beat one and a snare on beat three ... if you're going to use the condescending "ok" then you should know what you're talking about first.

i feel like skrill is actually secretly underrated, because he doesn't deserve even half the hate he gets
he's insanely talented, and his production skills are unmatched. when he made the brostep genre explode as it did, he jumped ship to work on other genres, on stuff he loves. he doesn't care about the millions of "fans" he has that now hate him for leaving dubstep, he does what he wants to do.
also, his remix of holdin' on is really rad |

and he does NOT make drumstep, his only drumstep song is the remix of monsta's "holdin' on". of course, some of his songs aren't dubstep (like bangarang), but he generally is a brostep producer. if his songs were drumstep, they would be so much faster paced. |
