I record all my videos or tutorials with xSplit. It has really nice quality, easy to use, shortcuts, different camera-scenes, screen regions etc. Can also livestream with it. You can also use Fraps, or the free Hypercam 2. CamStudio is also a decent one.

Microsoft Expression Encoder is REALLY LEGIT. It's from the official Microsoft site and is free. It doesn't have viruses either. It also doesn't put a logo on your screen. It is 1020p quality (Which is highest.) And it can record audio unless you don't want it to. Just look up Expression Encoder on YouTube and you'll see a video with a link in the description.
