Actually Harper, the Spurs haven't lost once this season to:
Atlanta
Boston
Charlotte
Washington
Denver
Utah
LA Lakers
Memphis
Cleveland
Orlando
Milwaukee
Philadelphia
(more teams I don't want to look up)
...
and finally
TORONTO |

"schedules would be different, resulting in entirely different records that are impossible to guess with accuracy"
you're right, the raptors may have been worse |

@ddude
Why should I take those other teams into consideration?
The 76ers beat Chicago, Houston, Portland, and Washington this season - all playoff teams in their respective conferences
Every team can get at least one quality win at some point down the stretch because they're all pros with potential |

take a realistic conjecture at it |

but clearly they're good enough to get "those wins ever once in a while"
the raptors aren't terrible. i don't watch a ton of the NBA and i can tell who is reputable and who isn't
you never know what would happen if they were in the west because it hasn't happened. they could be worse, they could be better. who knows |

Raptors don't even have anyone besides Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, and Terrence Ross. Steve Novak is decent at best, and their depth on the bench and reserves is actually quite startling. They have an OK-coach at best. He has his accolades but he's not really on the level of Doc Rivers, Gregg Popovich, Erik Spoelstra (yes I admit it), or Kevin McHale |

"so just based on that you think they'll be absolutely trash in the west"
Have you noticed that to compete in the West you must have at least 4/5 of your starting five be pretty good and have solid depth to back up the starters?
@death
True, just as much as math doesn't work in sports.
I'm just stating my opinion and I think honestly that the Raptors would be about on-par with Minnesota if they were in the West. |
