Hi there, regular S&I'ers. I usually C&G, but I feel that this is the best place to put this petition. Let's be honest here--ROBLOX moderation sucks, and here is why: Inconsistency in Moderation Use of filters that no longer apply to current ROBLOX rules Errors in moderation that should not be made An evident failure to look over what has been deemed as a "bannable offense" closely enough to actually deem if it breaks the rules. Failure to check if a mass reported post is actually bannable or if it's just trolls who disagree with that person. I'm kind of tired for being banned for stupid reasons, and others are to. So here's what I propose: Absolutely do: 1. Update all filters and create consistency in moderation. I don't want to be banned anymore because I say some variation of "ass" or "damn". You've unbanned the words themselves, but some variations of those words still get warnings. This has got to stop. If you are going to unban a word, don't be lazy and half-ass the work. Do the whole job, please, and update all filters. 2. Closely view reported posts and chat phrases. I know that C&G tends to, if everybody disagrees with a post, mass-report somebody to get them off of C&G. Sometimes these are warranted-racist posts, discriminatory, and otherwise. But there is other situations where these posts are relevant, significant, and don't break any rules. Yet, just because they are mass reported, they get banned. And I'm not talking about ctrl+f'ing the post, which is what you all evidently do. I think you need to actually spend time and look at the post. What its entitling, what it's saying, and if it can potentially send the wrong message, which would be bannable if it's against ROBLOX rules. 3. Re-define the rules to be specific, and clearly cover every situation. Sure, keep the current rule set for the kids who join ROBLOX. But there is a plethora of teenagers on here who tend to, because the rules aren't covered clearly enough, get banned, simply because they didn't know a rule applied to what they were saying. It would also help prevent "nonsense bans", which are stated to break a certain rule, but actually don't. For instance, I once got banned because I GOT scammed, and it was all because I replied to the thread that began the scam in the first place. Is that honestly intelligent? No. Should I be banned for it? Hell no. 4. Release a full word black-list that is constantly updated to match the actual ROBLOX filters. This would be a great reference to keep ROBLOX following the rules and friendly as intended. It would also prevent people from getting banned for something they didn't know they could get banned for. At least attempt: 1. Begin selecting player moderators again. Legit ones you can trust. They actually understand the community, and if you throw in free BC, they'll happily do it. Of course there should be an application process, and such, but at least open it up to people who want to moderate, and who understand the community here on the forum. The current moderators are distant-they hardly post outside of RT, ATR, and other primarily ROBLOX related sub-forums, and as a result, they can't get a grasp of what the COMMUNITY thinks is acceptable. Sure, you want to keep it safe, but who do you want to keep it safe for? That's right, the community. And what better way to help the community be safe than to let them have a say in what gets moderated? 2. Put an age restriction on certain sub-forums. This includes Off Topic, Clans and Guilds, and other sub-forums where the primary population is older than 13. Then, lower restrictions on content moderation for these sub-forums. ROBLOX, you've done some good things, and some really bad things. This is your chance to make it more good things than bad things. If you SUPPORT-->Say support! Keep bumping the thread, so it gets noticed! If you DO NOT SUPPORT-->Don't say "This suckz lel" or whatever, constructively criticize! I want to know what you disagree with that could make a future version of this petition better! Signed, with support, kibblebomb

With such a wide age range, it is a bad idea for any section of the site to be off limits, but it was like that for a while. I don't want it to go back, please no. But other than that, I support.

With such a wide age range, it's hard to keep different age levels with different definitions of appropriate separate. A lot of the stuff said by older people on here is pretty inappropriate to the 8 and 9 year olds. As well as the fact that some of the older forumers find younger forumers annoying.

I support, try to look at the moderation system from both sides, this petition seems a bit biased.

To be quite honest, going online is much more inappropriate than anything you might encounter on roblox. A few curse words here and there don't ruin children.

Grantox, it appears you have a somewhat slimmer grasp on ROBLOX than what I have experienced. Either way, there is a plethora of inappropriate content all over ROBLOX that the mods inconsistently fix. If it's hard to do with so few people, then they should continue to appoint player moderators. Simple as that.

My 7 year old brother saw some kind of rude words. But, the game was not inappropriate, it was PAINTBALL. Which he is level 78 on.

For your list of "absolutely do": 1. Yes, filters should be updated and bans should be more consistent. I've reported people for the same things and only half of them get banned (like spamming the S&I forum a lot with WNTS posts) 2. Support for this, too. Mass reports should not give bans. 3. Support. The rules probably do need some revising. They do provide decent descriptions for a few of the rules, but they should be more detailed and give examples for every rules. 4. Eh... I don't think this would be a good idea. It would be a way for children to find out a lot of bad words. For you list of "at least attempt": 1. No, there are too many people out there who might abuse, or even fake being a mod. 2. No. Rules are rules, and they shouldn't change them just because older kids get on. Basically, I like your first few ideas, but the rest probably aren't a good idea to have.

I'm not say change them entirely for the older kids. I'm saying seperate younger kids from more hostile, older parts of the site, such as C&G, Ot, etc. As for the mods, that's why there should be an application process. Most people wouldn't have mal-intent, especially if there is a reward in it for them(Free BC, etc.) Faking being a mod is impossible. There is the moderator watermark and moderator badge to prevent that.

Agree. Also stop using dumb moderation bots who are nowhere as smart as modern bots. Everyone is tired of getting unfair warnings and deleted assets. And i agree about the: d a m n word. Its nothing innapropiate. I usually say it when i see something inpressive, but then it suddently gets filtered for no reason.

I like it. They need stricter enforcement. One guy was begging for money in Lumber Tycoon and turned to swearing and nastiness when i refused. As far as i know he never got enforced on even though i reported him As well, Spam is out of control, Spam comments? Still a thing. Spam group invites? Every day of the week!

Atomic Support!!! I would spam the most offensive word a million times to show my hate towards it... But well, that would destroy my account and give another reason to hate moderators...

Yes I do believe the moderated system has gone a bit too far, you can't even say a numb er now without having it censored. Its getting on my nerves and others as well. I even had to split the word Numb er to not censor it.

Get this: I cannot send ANY kind of chat, OR Message to ANYONE in ANY chatroom except for posts. In the website chat it says "Your message was moderated and not sent" each and EVERY time i send a message. And in-game anything i say comes across in "__".. I'm not even the only one with this problem. It's annoying and its a roblox error that has been affecting me for a entire week now, and hasn't been fixed. There is a roblox debug group that you post bugs on, THE ENTIRE PAGE IS POSTED WITH THIS GLITCH. SO WHY ISNT IT FIXED?
