You have got to be kidding me. If the refs were biased, they would favor Toronto-the only Canadian team-to try to grow basketball internationally ~The choice to be cynical might just be the most illogical decision you can make~

If you're thinking about the NBA trying to gain popularity in Brooklyn-A new location for a franchise, consider this: Canada>Brooklyn ~The choice to be cynical might just be the most illogical decision you can make~

@ithesportsbomb Brooklyn is in the bigger TV market, they just got a whole rebranding done recently, they have the squad with the better players in exterior appeal, but more importantly - Brooklyn would generate MUCH more $$$ for the NBA than Toronto would.

@sir Its not JUST Toronto, the Raptors represent practically all of Canada, as they're the only Canadian team. Also, if the Raptors went deep into the playoffs, that could help further expand the NBA globally-or at least start to. ~The choice to be cynical might just be the most illogical decision you can make~

Brooklyn has a bigger market than Canada because the rest of Canada do not care about a basketball team in Toronto.

Exactly. Should the Raptors go deep, they will start to care ~The choice to be cynical might just be the most illogical decision you can make~

Actually no ithesportsbomb, what's on Commissioner Silver's mind regarding expansion is to relocate to Seattle and then a choice of Austin, St. Louis or Kansas City, or Las Vegas. The latter option is a joke that probably won't happen. So most likely, Seattle will get their Sonics back and Texas will have a 4th NBA team just as California does. The NBA might have a slew of international games, such as Dublin, London, Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, maybe even Dubai(???) but they're not expanding internationally.
