when characters use swords, or bows as weapons in modern times. i mean in certain cases like when you target practice or collect swords or stuff like that but when you bring along to use just in case? ehhhh |

Why do people in post-apoc RPs always go for bows if you're allowed to have a gun.
Not only would a bow do less damage, it'd be harder to find "ammo." |

Also,let's not forgot the dreaded plot abandonment.If I join a post apocalyptic roleplay I don't want us to all of a sudden be beamed aboard a space ship that has no relation to a roleplay of surviving after an apocalypse. |

@Duck: It happens to everyone when they first get an alt. At first you think it should feel like posting normally, then it feels like you're someone different, and then there's two options: It feels normal, or you get split personality disorder.

kinda sounds like protagonist centered morality in some terrible stories i read, which is glaring when someone that the protagonist hates dies, then it's treated like a good thing in the narrative.
but it's probably something else, like just regular skewered morality. |

When you get Mary Sues trying to force themselves on love interests.
I see RPing account on Tumblr with awful grammar always trying to do this. I once saw someone send in an OOC ask telling the blog owner to make the character give the Sue his phone number, so he had to casually go "Here take this if you have trouble again" |

When you make an alt to put a roleplay (because you're afraid that it will fail) and the alt develops more and more and becomes a respected roleplayer.
And you find that people thought the original "you" was not nearly as good as the old you.
Then you come out and say that you are the original you and then people act like the new 'you' is as good as the old 'you'.
This happened to me once, actually. |

THESE GOD DAMN MOBS ON THE WAY TO THE EXECUTIONER'S CHARIOT ARE THE WORST, JESUS CHRIST. The enemies that have a whip are fine, they're not hard, BUT DAMN YOU DON'T HAVE TO BREAK MY POISE WITH THOSE WEIRD SCYTHE-SPEAR COMBO THINGS. That's just annoying. Breaks through the damn shield, too.

Rainbow ruse.
It's basically when somebody writes that their character is both fickle and loyal, but in a more subtle fashion. Many people do it unintentionally, but it can also be used to hide flaws when writing character personalities. |

oh damn i hate that too
i hate how sometimes a character has stubborn or aggressive as a character flaw, but very rarely it comes up to bite them in the ass.
i also hate how i feel like my energy with doing thing is getting lower and lower each day. really, i wish i was less lazier with doing things, because it's getting to the point where it's impacting my ability to rp
another thing is where an rp slows down to a point where it halts, yet i really cant think of anything to post since i have nobody to reply to or really post except for the sake of posting |

Oh yeah, the characters that will pick fights with obviously stronger opponents, yet they somehow win anyway or their mun/role-player complains when they lose. I've seen that a few times. |

i also really hate how sometimes people get like really op powers. like, powers, as in, multiple. you know the stuff thats like, cosmic manipulation, soul manipulation, teleportation, telekinesis and yknow that stuff that are completely unrelated to each other, yet are mushed into only one character who is the typical "stubborn yet heroic". which is why i kind of wish more ops of power rps would only limit powers for each character to less than two, or possibly more only if they relate to each other and aren't as op |

I get a little bit peeved when people make characters based off of a certain being of lore and that character shares little characteristics with the original monster.
Like fang-less vampires who can go out during the day, polite, human-like demons, that sort of thing. |

lol im actually kind of guilty of that too in my younger years with a character called ranata, who was supposed to be half-demon, but she was basically looked like a human woman with silver hair and red eyes. i really cant remember her personality but all i remember is that i used her for pretty much all rps around 2009-2010
hehh looking back, its kind of cringe worthy but really i sort of miss her in a way, she doesn't even have any story or lore that i find interesting, she's just ranata the half demon
on that topic, another pet peeve is when people reuse the same characters over and over with the same name, not even trying to disguise it. i was guilty of this, and im sort of guilty with it now with my "writer's block", but still, it just sort of annoys me in a way? i dunno |
