I listen to thrash, death, heavy, nu, core, black, any type of metal. But the worst metal stereotype is the elitist. I love bands like Slayer, Burzum, Arch Enemy, etc. But when I say that I also like Suicide Silence or the older BMTH, I automatically become a poser. It annoys me a lot because at school, the only people that have musical similarities with me are the elitists/scene kids. I'm not scene so if you were gonna call me that, stfu now. My taste goes anywhere from Slayer, to The Black Dahlia Murder, Five Finger Death Punch, Linkin Park, Cattle Decap, Suicide Silence, Asking Alexandria, to Burzum/Darkthrone. No, I'm not one of those butthurt kids that flames people for not liking a band. I flame people when they say I'm a poser because I listen to a variety of bands, or when they say that they're not metal. Which also ticks me off is when people say Suicide Silence aren't metal, or that they're "fake metal." You don't judge a band's genre using your personal opinions. Metal is metal whether you like it or not. It doesn't have to sound like Cannibal Corpse or Iron Maiden. Don't use your personal opinions when classifying a band's genre. |

I couldn't stick to OT for a long period of time either, there's occasionally threads that peak my interest there though.
Or ones that bring back nostalgia
