A long long time ago, in a studio far away, if you wanted to clone something you could just press CTRL + D. Really simple! But one day, I tried doing it and it didn't work! I know you could do CTRL + C and CTRL + V, but there is just something about CTRL + D that is really awesome. It's not a big deal, but it would be easy to re-implement. I still don't know why they removed it in the first place, and you can change the key bindings now too.

What do you mean "duplication"? Like copy/paste? That's Ctrl+v and ctrl+c

@PreciPoo I don't know what to take from that. @Gallium I know. Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V do the same thing as Ctrl + D, but let me walk you through it: Ctrl + V/C: Click the part, Press Ctrl + C, Click the model, Press Ctrl + V Ctrl + D: Click the part, Press Ctrl + D See the difference?

@inoobe I am not saying they remove Ctrl + C/V, as it is commonly used everywhere. I just think Ctrl + D should return, and if someone doesn't like it then they don't have to use it.

Then it will be weird having 2 copies...

Back when it was implemented, both of the copies were still there. And besides, if you really don't like it, you could disable it in the "Shortcut Help" section of the "File" button.

They removed it because it messed up movement in studio, D is used for right. Ctrl + D would make a duplicate then make you move right.

No, they don't anymore. I used to use Ctrl-S and it would bring me to Save and make me move forward, and now I try it and it's not working.

Still don't know what that means. Can you explain? Why are you at a lost for words? Is there anything that can happen for you to find your words?

not interested text is 1-dimensional, but no two texts could fit in the same place therefore, to allow transfer of text rather than repetition of text, CTRL-V was created nobody has time for using the mouse transfer, and it didn't exist back then

Well considering you posted within 2 minutes you are obviously following this thread so if this is so terrible, why did you follow? Did you just want to see everyone prove me wrong? I guess that's not what Roblox wanted...
