Has anyone ever searched for a specific thread using the forum search bar? Isn't it frustrating how many random posts come up that have almost nothing to do with what you search? I have a solution:
Make a better search bar.
To do this, a few things would have to be done.
1) Make only relevant posts come up
2) Make it so you can choose whether to search comments, threads, or both
3) Add a category so you can include post content or just the title in the search
4) Change the user search to only include that person's most recent posts, not random posts with their name in it, because that fits under other categories.
5) Add a filter to search for a specific date or range of dates
6) Instead of the option for searching for all words, any words, or the exact phrase, allow the use of quotes to search for a specific term, like in Google.
7) Allow the use of the hyphen to remove unwanted results, also like in Google.
