If you don't know what a .mid file is, I'll tell you It's an audio file that is used only with instruments. That means you can't add lyrics to it. These were used for a lot of older video games. .mid files don't even take up that much space. A .mid file that is 4 minutes long would be under 100KB. Price: undecided Time Limit: 15 minutes Size Limit: 300KB And yes, I know you can use a model to upload midi... but I want an easier way.

@olama MIDI to MP3 converters make it sound... eh. And it could be cheaper... because MIDI files take up barely any space in ROBLOX's drive.

can't you just record the sound of a midi file (or put it into a program and export it) into an mp3? i'd rather allow .WAV files

MIDI to MP3 converters are eh plus, midi wouldn't take up much in ROBLOX's drives. it's a lot less than an MP3 file i'm not saying to remove the feature of MP3 files, but add a cheaper option for MIDI

Ah yeah... I still have a soft spot for them. It'd be much easier to moderate, that's for sure. I remember the only argument against it was that it sounded cheap. They want good sounding background music.

@gamehero are we going to use them for background music only

Huh? I don't know what you're asking. What I mean is the built-in midi instruments on most devices sound pretty bad compared to what you can get from the bigger and CPU hogging instruments. Not that I mind, but the developers do.

Support. I would love for games to be using good sound tracks. In a fast paced FPS as you get into a fight dramatic music is played or in a fancy RPG as your in the starter town a memorable melody is played e.c.t.
