Drop Windows XP support

Windows XP is getting old. Perhaps it's time for ROBLOX to drop support for Windows XP so XP users can no longer play ROBLOX. That way, it would encourage XP users to get Windows 7.

I can't get the new operating system yet. this would not encourage user to get 7, but more likely have people leave roblox. a person can't be encouraged to attempt something like switching operating systems just because roblox stops support. Remember that lots of younger kids that have no knowledge of how operating systems work play roblox. losing support for XP would leave a ton of players confused, mad, or helpless.

XP is a good system. I don't think they should stop supporting XP. This is clearly a marketing stunt to make people buy new Windows.

Windows XP is better then Windows Vista in all categories. Vista was a total flop. Windows XP is more popular then Vista; more people have XP. Only about less than 2% of ROBLOX users run on Windows XP. The majority of the people playing ROBLOX are on Windows 7. This shouldn't affect many. Windows XP is 13 years old. The OS is too old. It still have pixelated font that looks horrible.

My judgement is that at least 30% of ROBLOX users on Windows OS still use XP, I also think 20% still use Vista, 30% use Windows 7 and 20% use Windows 8. If my opinions are accurate which they probably arent as they are thoughts this would wipe out about 500,000 of the 4,000,000 users that ROBLOX has. NO SUPPORT, BAD IDEA.

However, it is recommended that the users upgrade. Don't drop the support immediately, give them about 1 year. It should be enough time to get users off XP.

The point we are trying to say is that not everyone wants to switch operating systems, let alone work at it as a goal just to stay on roblox. recommending is one thing, forcing them and giving them 1 year is another. some people don't have enough money to switch, not enough pay. also, is there anything to gain from stopping support of XP? a suggestion is only good if you can gain a sort of conveinence/ability from it.

Why drop XP support? I love XP and it's still one of the best, most reliable stable OS out there. Just because Windows stopped support doesn't mean EVERYONE has to. I'm using Vista, on a separate partition and I use XP regularly. I don't want to pay for something I don't need. This is a terrible suggestion/idea. XP has less problems than all the newer OS, why? Because all the new OS introduce problems XP didn't have. The only reason Microsoft stopped XP support was because it'd make XP users feel vulnerable, but they're not. Forcing someone to get something they don't need doesn't do anything to help. It generates MORE problems. What if: You were playing ROBLOX on XP, then the next day, that idea came into effect. How would you feel? Devastated. You'd probably be annoyed at ROBLOX for doing that.. Please think before silly ideas are posted. The chances are, you'll get an answer back.

You cannot force people to take what they know and must throw it all away. People would leave Roblox they had to choose between getting a new OS or keeping XP.
