Recently I've seen a lot of shirts with hair extensions on them, like ponytails or longer hair flowing over your shoulders. I've also heard complaints of just how little girl hair there is. So why not forget about it entirely?
No, this is not a suggestion to get rid of hair because "ew ODers"; rather this thread is to ask for a separate hair-customizing system similar to that of the Fallout series.
I've just thought this up, so it may be a little disorganized. Basically, there would be pre-set haircuts in the system that you could select for your character. How would the system obtain these? Through a new subforum in one of the forums dedicated solely to hat and hair suggestions. Not only would this system include hair on your head, but also facial hair, like mustaches, beards, and ridiculous sideburns (if you're that type of person). If a person does not want hair, they can go for the default bald look. And do not worry, all current hair will be inducted into the system. I will provide some hair suggestions at the end of this thread to get it off its feet.
Colors for hair could also be chosen. There would be natural tones, and then dye colors, like ROYGBIV or stripes or grey spots or more unnatural features. Some of these would be BC exclusive, though that would be up to the devs (just don't make it too restricting or money-hungry).
So you would select your hair color, and your hairstyle, and then you'd confirm your "haircut" and bam, you have the haircut. This haircut, including your selected hair color and hairstyle, would act like an outfit, and would only cost a few ROBUX (as in ≤ 10 ROBUX), similar to a real haircut. The price of the haircut would depend on the style and color chosen. Again, up for the devs to decide how that works. Once you can buy a haircut, however (drifting away from real life), you can wear it as many times as you want without paying another dime (unless you want to alter the color).
So, what do you think? I'll try and fill in anything that I missed, and answer any questions you may have. |

Oh,yes! Nearly forgot. Hair suggestions.
Well, I sadly only have one at the moment, seeing as it is late. I will have more tomorrow, I promise.
Bald 2.0
Gender: Predominately Male
Description: A more realistic bald head, with a dark area on the head where the hair would usually grow. You know what I'm talking about. Like with Vin Diesel (best example I can come up with at the moment).
Anyway, I also remembered that I forgot to mention how hair would work in-game. I'm debating certain things, but one thing is for certain, hair will be weightless, which means you can wear your three hats and have hair, but also do all the things you would do normally without hair. What I'm debating is whether to have it permanently stick to your head or to have it act like a hat, and whether it should flow like actual hair, which, of course, would require a wind update. |

Full support, I think this is brilliant. Just as long as you can temp disable it for those hats that go poorly with it. |
|
|
I'm thinking about that, too. Maybe the hair disappears when you wear certain hats, then reappears once you lose these hats, say by dropping them for your friends or literally losing them in SML's tornadoes. |
|
|
But you still have to pay to make custom hair, right? |
|
|
Maybe just make hats that fit over the hair. |
|
|
Again, this is a WIP idea, but currently you suggest a hairstyle to the devs on the hat/hair subforum, they make it, you incorporate it into your haircut, and you buy the haircut.
Maybe there can be a little customization, like small changes in length or shine, little things like that.
Thing is, players aren't making their own custom hair. |
|
|
So your saying there would just be a whole subforum for suggesting hair meshes? |

no support
will take too long
and they can always just make new hats |
|

Bump.
@above,
the problem with hats is that they are a set color of hair, a set style, nothing customizable about them. Plus, if people chip in and suggest hairstyles, hair colors and the like I'm sure it will go quickly. |

Seriously, it's not that complicated a feature, it's perfect! |

Supported.
Even the admins have wanted this.
They made some hats. There is alot of creativity with the shirts and pants.
Why not add some creativity to the hats? ROBLOX seems to be running out of that. |

Bump.
Really tear this suggestion apart. I want a good, strong suggestion to give to the devs. |

Super, I wish you good luck, as nobody has cared the slightest bit about any non-WANTS(note that acronym, no wonder "removing liquid games and price floor" falls under that.) suggestions. Like my request for real cylinders we can resize properly and have no +'s, not to mention collide like real cylinders instead of spheres, or my request for a search engine(particularly forum) overhaul. |

Bump.
We need a discussion here. Someone suggest ideas to improve this! |

I'm thinking of ways to improve this, in the meanwhile I need discussion! |

I support the bald head suggestion. |

I've been thinking; you know the best way to convey what hairstyles should be implemented? through pictures. which is something that would require a forum makeover.
Make it like Blockland's forum. Yeah, you may hate Blockland, but you have to admit that their forums are better than ROBLOX's. |

I've also been thinking of ways that you could additionally customize your hair.
1. Hairline
I know there are many types of hairlines, and they can completely change hairstyles. It can be the difference between Anthony Hopkins and Nicolas Cage.
2.Part direction
Typically found in girl's hair and comb-overs, basically decides whether the part is to the left or right.
3. Multi-coloring
Highlights, rainbow hair, gray spots, 'nuff said.
I'll have more as I think them up. Feel free to suggest your own. |

That last post game me an idea for another boy's hair suggestion
2. Slicked back
Like mentioned about, the hairstyle is usually seen on Nicolas Cage, Dracula, Hannibal Lector and the like. Basically, all hair is slicked backwards, and stops at the edge of the head. Hopefully you understand what I mean by that. |
