"if your game has a hard fps limit like this for no reason, then there is a serious problem in the coding, nevermind what you think how 40fps looks." This makes no sense at all. Lemme just try to take this apart. "if your game has a hard fps limit like this for no reason" So...because the game exists...it's bad? "then there is a serious problem in the coding," No, no there isn't. Looks fine. "nevermind what you think how 40fps looks." No, not "nevermind." You can't just take what the other person said and say "nevermind."

This makes no sense at all. yes it does "if your game has a hard fps limit like this for no reason" So...because the game exists...it's bad? reading comprehension.. try using it sometime No, no there isn't. Looks fine. can you explain to me how an arbitrary crippling of performance isn't a problem in the game's code? No, not "nevermind." You can't just take what the other person said and say "nevermind." i kind of can if its irrelevant

"yes it does" Best argument ever, 10/10 "if your game has a hard fps limit like this for no reason" I'm seriously going to need a team of about 10-20 translators to figure out what the hell that means. "can you explain to me how an arbitrary crippling of performance isn't a problem in the game's code?" Because it isn't a crippling of performance because it looks fine? If the game could barely load and there was a ten second delay between button presses, or a ten second delay between what you see on the screen and what is actually happening, then THAT is a "crippling of performance." 40 fps is NOT a crippling of performance! It is something extremely minor, that this British jack hole, (TB) who marches around the town square announcing his opinion as fact, believes that a minor inconvenience like 40 fps to be some evil, unholy monstrosity. It's aggravating as all hell. "i kind of can if its irrelevant" But it wasn't irrelevant. :/

Itt: if it's below 60FPS it is an awful game with awful coding and it doesn't deserve to be played because it is so horrible oh god why

@Agent There's a game that runs at 40 fps. Cool says that it sucks because "not 60 fps bleh" and I'm saying "no, it looks fine, leave it alone."

@Cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baljiA6Hk_4 NFS rivals looks good at 40 fps And to be honest, if you care about a game running at 60 FPS, im going to take it you dont know very much about gaming OR hardware, if thats the case, then you politely need to shut up and enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day before we have another dead veteran.

"NFS rivals looks good at 40 fps" you forgot to mention the screen tearing and stuttering. And to be honest, if you care about a game running at 60 FPS, i dont care about 60fps in specific. I just care about full utilization of hardware, aka optimization im going to take it you dont know very much about gaming OR hardware dont even go here

@cool You obviously only care about FPS if you really can sense all that "screen tearing and stuttering" that game might not be buttery smooth, but its smooth and playable.

I'm seriously going to need a team of about 10-20 translators to figure out what the hell that means. a hard fps limit is a strong limit on game fps. "can you explain to me how an arbitrary crippling of performance isn't a problem in the game's code?" Because it isn't a crippling of performance because it looks fine? thats your opinion on how well 40fps looks. personally, I dont like stuttering. If the game could barely load and there was a ten second delay between button presses, or a ten second delay between what you see on the screen and what is actually happening, then THAT is a "crippling of performance." low fps increases input lag 40 fps is NOT a crippling of performance! oh, but it is. have you ever seen CS:GO competitive gamers use 40fps over 120fps? It is something extremely minor, (in your opinion) that this British jack hole, (TB) who marches around the town square announcing his opinion as fact, [citation needed] believes that a minor inconvenience like 40 fps to be some evil, unholy monstrosity. It's aggravating as all hell. then dont watch his videos if they frustrate you

"You obviously only care about FPS if you really can sense all that "screen tearing and stuttering" that game might not be buttery smooth, but its smooth and playable." good lord this is a bad case of non sequitur. just because I can see choppiness, that means that i'm obsessed with frames per second? or maybe i just care about a game performing well? for the hardware that I paid for?

#135188671Monday, May 26, 2014 8:46 PM GMT

@cool Ok so let me just sum up everything that has been said, You dont like games running at below 60fps, and that anything other than 60 is choppy and that you "care" about the game running smoothly and at good performance.
Bigtiop26
#135188765Monday, May 26, 2014 8:47 PM GMT

"a hard fps limit is a strong limit on game fps." Okay, and that matters how? "thats your opinion on how well 40fps looks. personally, I dont like stuttering." I don't like imaginary stuttering either. "low fps increases input lag" But 40 isn't low. "oh, but it is. have you ever seen CS:GO competitive gamers use 40fps over 120fps?" Okay, fine, here's me using your tactics against you. IN YOUR OPINION. [citation needed] IN YOUR OPINION "then dont watch his videos if they frustrate you" Ah, the classic "simply ignore something that's stupid and allow it to flourish when it shouldn't" argument. Makes total sense. Also, IN YOUR OPINION See how aggravating the "opinion" card is?

You dont like games running at below 60fps, yes and that anything other than 60 is choppy 120 is nice too and that you "care" about the game running smoothly and at good performance. yes, because thats why i'm paying to buy the game
