We need to know how this schedule is going to work...
Are teams going to play every opponent the same amount of times, or will we focus on playing more divisional games?
How many games are we going to play?
If we do divisional focus, then how many more times will teams play in their division than teams out of their division?
Lots of questions, but it's all worth it.

For the postseason, should we start the first round by having #1 play #2 of each division...or have #1 play #4 and #2 play #3 in each conference?

i have a couple ideas for playoffs
A. the top 4 teams from the conference go into a 4 team pool where everyone plays each other twice, top 2 make it out where division A #1 plays division B #2 in a series, and B #1 plays A #2 in a series
or B. top 2 teams from each division go to conference playoffs, division A #1 seed plays division B #2 seed, as B #1 plays B #2, and in the other conference C #1 plays D #2 and D #1 vs C #2.

RESTRICTIONS:
- We need to have an even amount of games playing each team (i.e. nothing with "only one time against out of conference teams"). This makes it so we can have an equal amount of home and away, say playing two against every out of conference team. You would play once at home and once on the road. This makes it so I know what match-ups are going to be and there doesn't have to be a special focus on making sure certain things happen to have an equal home-away schedule.
- Again, since home-away needs to be equal, no schedules with odd numbers of games. That's a no-no in schedule-creating.
- Don't have an excessive amount of uneven games between division and non-division. It doesn't mean they have to be even, but nothing with "6 against each division and 2 times against non-divisions".

but if playoffs are determined by division you kinda need many games within your division to kind of tip the balance so the better teams in a division go through, instead of, for example, cairo sweeping a 4 game division series but sucking against the rest of the league, and ends up getting last in the division, while montreal goes winless in the division but somehow gets first because they did good out of their division
