You're on a cruise ship when it sinks and you're trapped inside the boat. The ship goes completely over, some passengers escape and leave you and others behind. You pass out under the water and you wake up in a room filled with shells. Then you see that you have a fin for legs and fins on your arms, and also, you have gills. A year has gone by and you live in the Lost City of Atlantis with other Mer-people.
