i learned to program for this game in about 08 lol. I miss the good old script builder days <:l When nobody banned, at least not as much, only pro scripters had pri servers now noobs who cant script use them and end up removing themselves :o I wish we could still make awesome stuff in script builders still. |

I see where you are going with this. ROBLOX is full of leechers. Leechers who enjoy the work of others, use them, re-upload and take credit for them. The majority of coders, programmers and scripters on ROBLOX either take courses in highschool and are around 16/17 years of age. Think of this: There are around 3 million players registered to ROBLOX. About 500,000 can script/code/program, and the rest cannot. Think of this too: About 1,500,000 Players are under the age of 10; they do not understand physics and the basics of scripting. The other 1,500,000 are over 13. A third know how to code, the rest do not. This means ROBLOX has a community of around 2.5 million leechers that take credit for things they did not make. ROBLOX cannot do anything, we the players AS players cannot do anything. Leeching is a part of the internet as is spam. This is never ending, there is almost no use in trying to fight it.

Psst, your not a 2 year.
Technically, I qualify as a builder, but I do not leech from people, and am learning scripting, so that section of the lecture offends me. Yet, I agree, we have too many leechers and not enough producers; lots of people who hate to try, and few people who have already done. |

I would be a procrastinating builder who strive to learn scripting, yet I have not had a background of other languages. I don't take free models and assume credit of them, however. I just can't seem to finish building anything.
I try to do things my own way, which I do, but when I need help, I flip around free models and learn from them. |

@thebiggestnoobevar | I learned that way too, by changing free models around.. But that was a year ago XD Now I'm a master programmer, I know hundreds of programming languages. |

His arguement is supported with reasonable evidence and stuff; something that you would find very persuasive. His use of pathos is balanced with logos, and he questions the ethics of the admins...

Updates for its players: Backwards.
The *actual* updates for programmers: Locking more stuff
Updates for builders: More textures. Better bricks. The works.
What it SHOULD be:
Updates for its players: FORwards.
The updates for programmers: Something that *actually* might help us and not hurt us.
Updates for builders: JUST A BIT LESS. -.-

Yeah programmers deserve to be respected! I mean, I'm not a good scripter and so I know just how much effort you must have to put in to make the really amazing things you do. Sure, you might find it easy since you're so good now, but really, I appreciate what you do for us players who maybe aren't as good at programming things and ROBLOX doesn't say "Wow! Look at our players who are incredibly talented why don't we tell everyone about them and let them be recognised for the work they do to make this game better and more fun for others!" They don't appreciate you - but they should! Like I said, I am not a good scripter, (I'm not that good at designing cool looking things) I don't know the techniques, and where can I find the infomation to help me get as good as you guys, and become a good scripter? Huh...? Wiki isn't always much help. I inpaticular want help with my scripting and building, I want to be able to make a light come on when I press a key, I want to make a spaceship that actually flies, I want to make a motorcycle that does wheelies. That is what keeps ROBLOX a good game and that doesn't make it boring and not be fun anymore. The idea that you get the oppertunity to make something and build you own things without being told what you can and can't do, or being restricted to a certain amount of bricks whatever. The idea you can use your imagination and creativity is what I like. It helps me learn, in some ways, ROBLOX is not only fun, it is educational. I just wish ROBLOX would help me to script and improve my gaming experience here on ROBLOX. If they want me to keep on playing this game, let me script, let me build, don't get rid of scripts and leave it to you proffesional players to tell me how even when you are busy. If ROBLOX wants more people to come and use their skills at programming, they should help us to do so. Otherwise, without being able to make better things out places aren't as good, they aren't as fun and we get lower ratings, people don't visit, and therefore our experience playing ROBLOX is not as good. We must act now to secure the future of ROBLOX and the amazing scripters and builders that play it. ACT NOW FOR CHANGE! |

I miss the days without paths and planes that don't work and places that are made of crap but still get on the front page, back in 08 when I joined it was like that... but this year is also made of crap.
