In 2011, there was a private ROBLOX staff meeting on the debate of if groups should be entirely removed.
Clan leaders of every large and significant super clan were messaged. ColourTheory took initiative to rally against the decision to remove the groups feature, creating the Rising Wings Initiative.
The RWI seemed to be a Vaktovian resistance coalition led by the Roblox Assault Team, but in disguise was a movement to keep the groups feature. Furthermore, the Vaktovian Empire was in support of abolishment of the groups system in the condition that every group except VAK would be transferred to Vaktus and thereby shut down by Vaktovia.
The Vaktovian high command gathered over $3000, but ultimately Roblox turned down the deal when ColourTheory gathered more money in the following ways:
- Gathering more money via connections with the RWI coalition members
- Selling his Dominus Empyreus. The developer exchange feature was in pre-beta testing for the most important ROBLOX power users, CT included.
- Selling the Roblox Assault Team to cj10127 for 4 million dollars. When cj refused to give the group to CT (even when the transition occurred), he started the New Frostarian Union, gaining publicity and more money. He ultimately got the group back.
There are more ways as to how he got a total of $46,254,879, paying Roblox to ultimately keep the groups feature.
