I have been a gamer on ROBLOX for quite a while and when I have seen players fighting at each other and constantly swearing at either the game or the others, I always wish that there could be a quick workaround that allows you to not see their chat messages. Trust me, this issue happens a lot anywhere! Reporting a player may not do as promised at certain times as the mods are probably busy handling other issues. That is why I have thought about these new actions that could show up when you click on an username in the player list.
If you were to block a player, they would not see your chat messages in-game and you will not see theirs. They would also not be able to PM you, comment on your games, and not be able to send you a friend request. A block is permanent unless you decide to remove the block via a "blocked players" list. This feature is necessary when someone is either bullying you or stalking you. It would help kids and teens alike to stay safe on ROBLOX without having to leave out everyone else on the website.
A lighter option to blocking would be to silence a player. Silencing a player would be temporary. When you silence a player, you will not be able to see their messages in the game. They will still be able to see your messages though. Once you or that player leaves the game, the status terminates. This would be awesome if you only want to talk to your friends without seeing other messages or if just that one player or two is having a fit and spamming the chat or swearing and giving threats.
To end this post off, I just want to say that everyone should still report those who break the rules of conduct in anyway or find loopholes around it. Let me know your opinion or ways to improve these features and I will be happy to know what you think.
