Tennis Polo: Tennis polo (or toccer) is a unique field sport played with racquets and a ball similar to those used in tennis, which is how it acquired its name. The sport can best be described as an amalgamation of racquet sports and team sports such as football (soccer), field hockey and lacrosse. The sport that best resembles tennis polo is the gaelic sport of hurling. In tennis polo, two teams of 3-4 players play on a grass (or grasslike) surface attempt to score goals, with the team scoring more goals after the end of regulation being declared the winner. -- AFTER GOAL/START OF HALVES After a goal or at the start of a half, either the team that gave up the goal, or a designated team gets to do a touch off. Any player can do the "touch off" but it is recomended the GK does it. It is a stronger racket, that may only be used for this, and it is like a kickoff on a tee. -- FINAL ATTACKS: Final attacks is when whatever team has possession gets to finish there attack, once the ball is possessed by the other team, the final attack is over. -- LENGTH OF MATCH: Matches are 20 minutes long, divided into two 10-minute halves Clock does not stop It is illegal to throw it out of bounds purposely, and the other team will be rewarded a penalty shot, or to do anything else that wastes time. There is stoppage time Overtime is 5 minutes, no golden goal, clock stops on any stoppage. If tied after overtime, it is penalty throws. -- POSITIONS/TOOLS RULES: One player is designated as the Goalkeeper, who can only use a racket to save the ball. If they use any other tool inside the defensive box, it is a penalty shot, they make leave the defensive box up to the halve, but may not use a goalie racket within that area. If a player who is not designated gk uses a racket inside the defensive box, it is a penalty shot, if they use it randomly on field, it is a free kick/throw. -- SCORING: Scoring occurs when the ball is hit (or kicked) into the goal. Each goal is worth one point. If a team scores outside of the 17' arc, it is 2 points. -- TURNOVERS: Ball that goes out of bounds is a throw in (but can walk onto field) You get 15 seconds to pass the ball, or 25 seconds to score. If you pass the ball to yourself, it is the other teams ball (free kick/throw) It is a free kick if a defending player attempts to grab onto the other teams possesion, UNLESS, they are within the attacking halve, then it is a turnover and a free kick/throw to the defending team (this makes defense more interesting, and attacking harder) -- Penalties: Multiple people in GK box on a shot - Penalty throw Intentional Throw OOB - Penalty throw Foul - Grabbing onto other teams possession on there halve, Jumping on head, spamming tool to block camera - free kick/throw Offsides - No soccer offsides, only going inside gk box [free kick/throw] or gk crossing line [Penalty throw] Illegal tools - Turnover if on attack, Penalty throw [unless good goal] if inside gk box. -- Pulling: GKs may pull with three minutes left, and down/tied in the second halve, one player can defend in the gk box on an attack, and must use racket. PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE KICK/THROW DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THROW OR KICKED IT CAN BE RAN OUT. Side racketing is allowed in net, however not recomended.
