My suggestion is an extra chat function activated by pressing SHIFT and / at the same time. It is for computers only.
Basically what it does is automatically to back to regular mode while keeping your message and you can quickly return by pressing SHIFT and / again or just pressing /.
I also suggest that you fix or bring back the walking and typing function as it has become an essential part of some gameplay as your product has evolved, ROBLOX.
But I also see this as an opportunity to ask that you "pimp" out this function, too. You don't bring back old updates, right?
My suggestion for the addition to this function is this:
If you press any of the WASD keys and the / key at the same time you get the previous walking and chatting function (except now it works for moving sideways as well). But now if you hold down any of your WASD keys and also hold / for about a second it goes into a premeditated movement function while your character is in the regular walking and chatting function. Basically the player is switched to a green line that they control until they release it. It basically represents what the path will make you do. You can make the line jump, move in all directions, and even switch into first person mode. The speed of this line can be edited to go faster or slower in the settings or by pressing Q or E during the action, Q making it slower and E faster (this doesn't change your walk speed just how fast you can map movements). Once you let go your character performs these movements and then stops moving (unless stopped by another force the. the action is simply paused and as long as you stay in chat mode your character will perform the rest o the action once movement is unrestricted again) and you go into chatting mode until you press ENTER, in which you automatically regain control.
Very useful tool. Not really even one that can break some games but just in case it should be optional in place config. If it isn't allowed in a place it should be shown right next to copy locked icon.
Support? :3
Thank you. |

Why is the green line awesome?
1. Ever wanted to see your BLOXian move in first person, before? You could with green line!
2. Ever just wanted to make time for yourself to watch yourself? Well here it is!
3. Want more precise movement so you can relax and chat? Here it is!
Cons:
1. It would take a little longer before you guys get your walking and chatting function back.
That is all. |
|
|
And I literally mean you could watch your BLOXian move in first person while out of third person. That's B.A!
Best part of green line in my opinion. Besides the fact that you can plan out your movements for a better experience. Some people could really become skillful with green line. |
|
|
Addition to the green line update:
You can also use tools with your green line! Also it shows a ghost version of you (only on your screen) so you can see what yourself would look like doing the actions you just set. |
|
|
Maybe also how long it takes before you can enter green line can be edited as well in the in-game settings (from one second to less or switch activation with regular function/switch it to just pressing WASD key and / and back) or even in the place configuration or an in-game script. |
|
|
Also whether or not the CPU has you moving or not in green line mode can be changed by:
1. Pressing R or BACKSPACE in green line mode.
2. Editing it in the in-game settings, place config, or an in-game script. |
|
|
And for all you who are wondering, green line wouldn't break any games. It would actually inspire an increase of the skill and performance of all players during gameplay as they become better at using it.
And if someone doesn't want it in their place, they can just unenable it (not that anyone will). Green line starts out enabled at every place if it is added. |

Green line would take juking on ROBLOX to a whole new level (when it's toggled). Just imagine being able to plan out your jukes before you're put into the middle of a confrontation and then watching as they happen right before your eyes.
This will revolutionize sword fighting as well! Sword fights will be on a whole new level of strategy if you could plan out your moves and watch them happen and then switch to and fro.
Not to mention some people can create an illusion that they don't need to stop moving to chat at all once they become skilled enough. We need this! |

Really? All I want is just for someone to respond! This has happened to EVERY thread I've made! |
|
|
This... is starting to hurt.
I've made over five threads since I first joined S&I. Only ONE of them have had 3 responders. Wtf? |
|
|
Ohp! Nevermind it has 4 responders now. But all my others have zero.
I guess I only have one option: rapidbump until someone gets annoyed. |
|
|
"Ban Shrek is Love, Shrek is life"
Can't say I feel too bad about bumping that.
MOVE! |
|

What's a bump between strangers? |

MAN I'll LOOK DAMN AWESOME FROM UP HERE! (Bump!) |

To many front page games need the controls of "q,e,z,x,c,r" so no and movement is fine and the sword thing is (0,4000,0) that will wreak all sword fights on ROBLOX and effect some running and strat games. |

@harley1w
Thanks for the reply, but what the... ?
1. Mouse lock is for when they are in chat mode. It doesn't switch to it automatically.
2. Don't need a pimped chat? Hmph. I guess you recognize the pros of this. Which are you get the walking and typing ability back with extras, more skillful gameplay, typing won't need to disrupt the flow of gameplay, and actually watching yourself move while in chat mode. Many would rejoice. How this hurts I have no idea.
3. Seizures? How would it cause seizures? It doesn't change any part of movement except you can execute premeditated movements. Wtf? You're saying that playing ROBLOX gives you seizures? Or this thread gives you seizures? Whatever ok then.
4. I didn't really spam it. I consecutively bumped. It's probably the only reason you even replied, to point out that I consecutively bumped. Because these reasons are less than valid.
5. Good one.
Ok. I respect your opinion. But respect mine in kind, sir.
And btw, this does not break sword fighting. Considering the fact it's an extra function and doesn't need to be used and also the fact that it changes no aspect of actual movements. It just allows for planned movements and typing during these movements. And you realize that in a different mode controls can switch over, right? Kind of like how most are activated by equipping a tool in a game, this one is activated by going into green line mode. Not to mention the fact that it's configurable. So I don't know what you mean.
Not to mention Q, E, R, and BACKSPACE are the only ones being used and they are only being used when you activate that. No ZXC or anything along those lines. And it doesn't even need to be that way those can just stay in the in-game settings. The point is that those aren't idea breaking concerns.

They took walking while chatting away then it isn't coming back they don't undo updates |
|
|
How about this? All of those settings that I also made changeable with key commands are now only changeable using in-game settings.
If the game has restrictions, such as a first person only limit then it carries over to the green line mode. |
|

We don't know if it was accidental or not, yet. They haven't commented.
And this is more of a revival. It's adding on to it so you can't really say that I'm just asking to bring it back. |
