There's probably going to be people arguing about whether cheerleading is a sport or not, and even some people believe that DANCE itself isn't a sport. I don't really believe that cheerleading is that much of a sport, but oh well.
Do you prefer dance, or cheerleading? |

dance requires much physical skill. It's very technical, and a lot to learn. I'm not downgrading football or whatever you prefer. "Sport /spôrt/: (noun) an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others." That is what dance is. Unless you do not take comp. dance, it does qualify as a sport. I mean, it technically does qualify as a sport in general. |

Dancing under that definition doesn't count as a sport it counts as recreation, but that when you only do it as enjoyment or no competition involved. Also if we want to get real technical about this Dancing/Cheerleading under the eyes of the American law are not consider sports but recreation, and hoenstly i don't know how you can seperate dance from cheerleading when you to dance to become a cheerleader.
all in all this dicussion isn't the best due to the proposed question. |

In my opinion, anything requiring significant physical activity is a sport.
Call me biased and whatnot since both sides of my family put dancing into my blood and I love groovin' it out at the club, but Dancing IS a sport.
I'm indifferent and I really don't give a (crap) about Cheerleading though. Just bring them on for the football games I play in and watch and I'm good |

if dancing is a sport cheer leading is a sport |

reason why is because you don't need so much physical requirement to go in dancing and dance in general

Back to the original question, I love dance way more than cheerleading. Duh. I'm a guy.
My mom is Peruvian-Latino and my dad is Iranian-Persian.
I'll definitely take a chick that's a cheerleader as a gf if she ain't conceited though lol |
