last year (MLB 13) my guy was the best MLB player ever (won 25 MVPs in 27 seasons - realistic? no. amazingly fun? yes!)
but this year i've been trapped on the awful miami marlins
2015: 110 G, 346 AB, .246 AVG, 85 H, 31 R, 12 HR, 45 RBI, OBP .251 (team missed playoffs)
2016: 154 G, 633 AB, .265 AVG, 168 H, 72 R, 22 HR, 92 RBI, .302 OBP (team missed playoffs)
i don't play every game and i play on hall of fame difficulty (so that's why my stats aren't absolutely off-the-charts)
my guy is an 80 overall now and i want off the marlins so bad but i'm trapped in arbitration
i hope i get traded in the offseason

i was on red sox, then i got traded to royals becuz i was tired of being on the bench, then i got injured in early september for 60 days and then we went to playoffs and won world series..... but then season after, I got traded to reds in may, then I did good for a week or 2, ever since, ive been in a slump at batting :/ |

here was my process of elimination:
i wanted to go to a playoff team, so the Mets were automatically out (i also really hate the mets)
the Yankees were also not a playoff team, but their offer was hard to look over considering the monetary value. also i was definitely looking for something less than 5 years
i definitely did not want to go back to milwaukee even though we were in the NLCS last season. i don't like the city or the team and their offer was laughable
the rays were definitely a team to consider as they were in the ALCS last season, but their offer didn't impress me and i'm not a fan of their stadium
last but not least, the texas rangers. i have a lot of respect for the rangers irl, and i have a video game-like bond with them as i finished the last 4 or 5 seasons of my MLB 13 player's career with them. i really enjoyed playing there and we had some good teams, making it to the world series in one of the seasons. their offer was very impressive and they were playoff team last season. i was able to trim the offer down to 3 years for over 28 million a year, so i was happy
