Quazino knelt on the ground, it was truely the end for him. How could it all come to this? Where did everything go wrong.
-MEANWHILE-
Savage grabbed the poleaxe and rolled forward quickly, trying not to injure himself further. He was bleeding from his knee and his forehead. He Reading the axe to strike. I positioned it to shop at Spirographia's neck. Spirosgraphic, seemingly out of nowhere, struck him in the gut with a bare fist, causing him to collapse onto the ground. Spirographic kicked him in the side. Savage groaned with agony.
The clouds swirled, keeping the sky in a gloomy state. It seemed like the end. Rockit was clutching his wrist. Spirographic has brought him down and smashed his arm with a boulder. Guest was dead. Luigi has scratches on his face. Kado was wrapping his shoulder in torn pieces of his shirt, it was still gushing blood from both sides. Kaizo had been hit with a rock, and was coughing up blood. A gruesome scene, but only the beginning. Something had to be done.
A female voice was heard in the distance. "Miss me?" The spiros looked in all directions, trying to find the source of the speaking. Then, a paper dove fluttered through the air. A figure stood on the other side of the gloomy mist, spreading their arms wide to the sky. The dove swooped down, and with a brilliant flare, turned into a card. An ace of spades. It flung down into the ground, creating a brilliant flash of blue light. The spiros; still acting in unison, shielded their vision. The fog turned into dust, and fluttered with the wind.
Savage rolled sideways, and pointed with his shaking hand. "Spicy..." She walked forward slowly, taunting them, trying to strike them off guard. The spiros were no game, though. They too walked forward, spreading to flank her. But she knew what she was doing too. She spun forward, tossing two cards to Spirographia. They both burst into flames, sending sharp paper fragments in all directions. Luigi saw, and seized the opportunity. He yanked out a revolver and fired a round into Spirographic's head. Black dust oozed out, flying into the air. She clutched the wound.
--MEANWHILE--
Quazino looked in awe as Spirographic howled in pain. She dropped the pike and started to fade. At the same time, Quazino's body was returning to normal. Spirographia brought his hand down, shattering the trick room. Quazino gripped his forehead and stood up, keeping his gaze down.
--BACK IN THE REAL WORLD--
Luigi holstered his revolver, and unsheathed his glimmering silver katana. He motioned Savage up. Savage nodded in response and grabbed the polaxe. They flanked the spiros from behind, nodding to Spicy. She nodded back, and flipped over them, landing between Savage and Luigi. She tossed two more cards, blinding them. "NOW!" She shouted. The two ran, slicing through the spiro's torsos. They both screamed, turning into dust and vanishing with the wind. The black clouds vanished almost instantly. The sun shone on the group, and for once in days, all seemed well again. Quazino cracked his eyelids open. Kado unwrapped his shoulder. There was nothing but a scar. Kaizo was no longer coughing. Rockit stood up, and to his surprise, with no trouble. Luigi tilted his straw hat and looked at Spicy. Savage nudged him on the shoulder and whispered. "Don't even try."
Kaizo waved them over. "Quazino's waking up!" They all crowded around him. He stood up shaken.
"I'm alright."
After about an hour of talking and celebrating the group walked into the city. They all hopped into Boba's car and drove off. Boba adjusted the mirror. Everyone was still chattering and celebrating the victory. Luigi was subtly trying to get Spicy's attention, to no avail.
"Next stop, Spiro's house." Boba announced.
Kaizo spoke up. "Didn't we just kill them?"
Rockit chimed it. "They were like, corrupt clones or something. But it wasn't them. I know it."
They arrived at the house. It was nothing but rubble and ashes. Kaizo climbed out of the car before it had even stopped.
He knelt over the rubble. The black dust bled from the spiro's during the battle laid there.
"How..."
Kaizo had a lump in his throat
"How did it come to this?"
