You don't need to unionize all the pieces. You can use a weld script and everything will function like one brick, the decor won't fall off, and everything should work fine.

POLL: What color should the main part of the building be. In reality the Bruges Belfry Tower is a sort of beige, but since roblox doesn't have too many varieties of that color I was thinking of changing it. My personal preference would be to pick something natural that has a lot of shades. Or maybe if you guys want beige, tell me what colors to use (Roblox names). UPDATE: Although I'm not doing as much to the project as I hope for, I'm always going to it everyday to tweak some things and increase the size. The last few days I've been working to finish the foundations and I can proudly say that 3/4 outer sides are complete. Also, since many of you are asking for hinges, but I cannot make them because I am a scrub.(q.q) Zerio920 has been kind enough to take my door free models and make them hinge worthy. I'll have the outer foundations finished by Sunday, and then I'll move onto mapping out the inner foundations for the courtyard. Then it'll me all about building up. Thanks. Also, unfortunately with the shape of the door, it seems impossible to make it function as well as I wish it could, so instead of waste a bunch of hours I'm going to make it just walkthrough. The doors aren't suppose to be the main attraction anyway. ;)

It's not that I'm trying to skip out on extra detail, because I love detail. It's just that at this point it's more of a pain worth doing due to the shape of the door. I would like to finish this as soon as possible.

Hinges are just a tiny detail. Besides, most people usually just script walk through doors. Hinges are a pain to make work

I found out that the back is a lot more detailed than I expected, figuring that no one looks at the back xD. I finished the pillars today and I'll make the intricate roof tomorrow (I really love copy/paste tools now). UPDATE PROGRESS: Everything is the same, except since I underestimated the back, I'll have to rewrite: Outer Foundations: 70% Don't worry, most of the main building is going to be copy pasting 1 type of window as well as small details which appear everywhere, but are the same. If I finish the models for them, it should go by super fast. I'm hoping to finish the foundations by Tuesday night. I may be a bit late on that since I have to still do some summer homework (read a book and do some chemistry) but a goal is better than none. Again, thank you everyone who is reading this and coming to my place. You guys are making me keep going and not stop this project without it being finished.

@birdeater 1) Read the whole thread before you comment. He got a lot done since the beginning of this thread. 2) If he scripted this much and labeled it as two percent, the the place he ends up scripting will be HUMONGOUS. 3) But, when he was at 2% he was doing the statue, benches, and doors.
