This isn't a roleplay, I couldn't find a better forum for posting about RP terms.
Here's some help and rules about RP.
1) Don't Godmod, powergame, or metagame.
Godmodding - Unable to be acted upon in any way, the vast majority of ways, or resisting a number of attacks in which would massively disturb the 'balance' of RP action, being "God"
Powegaming - Being able to force an action of your desire without the other RPers(') consent.
Metagaming - An out of character action or thought where a player's character makes use of knowledge that the player (you behind your screen) is aware of but that the character (the person you're playing as) is not meant to be aware of.
2) Your basic RP terms
OOC - Out Of Character; You talking as yourself behind your screen
IC - In Character; The character you control talking
3) Your basic RP symbols
(( )) marks OOC
( ) marks Whispering
* or - marks an action
