Prosperity has nothing to do with your nationality It has to do with work ethic America is about opportunity of prosperity, not prosperity in itself Nobody's going to hand you money and an easy life I think that's the thing people like you lack understanding of That's also why this list is worthless

We still have cities with higher homicide rates than those in third world nations and an incredibly intrusive government (see: NSA). And if America's a land of hard workers, why are people coming here looking for jobs getting kicked out in order to give job opportunities to people that take advantage of government assistance and never intend to work?

No I'm saying the people on welfare aren't actively trying to get hired which is why there's so many spots left open to b taken by immigrants. But now we're refusing entry to people that want to find work.

"No I'm saying the people on welfare aren't actively trying to get hired which is why there's so many spots left open to b taken by immigrants." So what you're saying is that there are jobs that are open for people to take? Cause that's what I'm getting at and it's proving my point

They jobs just being left there since we have a high unemployment rate consisting mostly of people that aren't trying to work; and the immigrants that are trying to take the jobs get sent back.

There's no high unemployment rate lol The national unemployment rate is 6.1% which is lower than Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada

We're still well down the list, and we're tied w/ the UK at 6.1 where Australia's only .3 higher at 6.4

Considering the countries ahead of the U.S. on the list are either communist, lead by dictators, full of migrant and oppressed workers, slaves, and countries with no minimum wage, I'm pretty sure "being pretty far down the list" means nothing

And no we're not tied with the UK, the UK is at 6.4%

"Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world with two million people living in poverty, endemic government corruption and a poor record on human rights. One third of the population live on less than a dollar a day. Forty per cent of children are chronically malnourished." but they still have a 0% unemployment rate so they must be better than the united states! i hate my country waaaahhh go australia

But Cambodia doesn't have skyrocketing homicide and general crime rates (Before you slap me with "Filthadelphia", Houston has a murder rate that's nearly twice as large as Cambodia) Cambodia also likely doesn't conduct mass surveillance and commit other huge intrusions of their citizens' privacy.

Well isn't this the dumbest argument I've ever been a part of You know what Houston doesn't have? Bans on public demonstrations punishable by death, governmental criticism being punished by death, barring from equal access to the broadcast media, mass trafficking of women and children for exploitation through networks protected or backed by police or government officials, fraudulent confiscation of farmers' land, illegal logging, violence against LGBT, arbitrary arrest and detention, torture, forced child labor, and domestic violence against women, and abuse of children

Cambodians have no privacy. And instead of surveying your internet, they censor it so you can see only what they want you to, and then kill you when you criticize them. But hey, America is definitely worse right?

Most countries respect privacy more than the US does I was just making a general statement.

If you were in Cambodia right now and you were attacking your country like you're doing now, you would be dead right now, probably by execution of firing squad

the USA is better than Cambodia MB1, even if it isn't the best developed nation. even the worst of developed nations is better than Cambodia, and in fact better than most of the rest of the world in general. And if I was in about 70-80 percent of countries, I wouldn't have my phone and internet usage constantly logged by the government.
