After Ivan realized everything was over, they got their GPS and tracked themselves. They were already in India, and close to the province of Jammu/Kashmir, where they could get water and food and rent a room.
While walking in the blizzard conditions, Ivan saw a heated cabin room. They opened it and no one was inside, but they saw fresh food and sufficient water. There were two beds and a fireplace.

Ivan and John slept until early morning when the sun looked to be risen up and ready from its duty in the western hemisphere. Ivan collected some substantial food and water. It was still snowing a lot, but Ivan and John trekked out towards Jammu/Kashmir.

It took just over 4 hours, but Ivan and John safely reached a small town in Jammu and Kashmir. The snow stopped and the ground was pretty clear of snow, and it was also a mostly cloudy 11 AM.
