I don't understand anti-bronies Now before I start, I just want to clear one thing up. It's okay to dislike My little pony; however, it's not okay to spew insults at the fans of the show. I've seen some of these hate messages and I am in disbelief that it's just because we watch a TV show..... So please, educate me.

I dunno, I just find it rather creepy that boys and men into their 40s are more or less obsessed with a TV show that at the end of the day is meant for 8 year old girls. Not to mention all of popcorn and other perverse material the bronie community has produced. It's just, messed up.

I find the show is made for both children and adults alike, the same way that the animaniacs reaches to the adults by adding humor they would understand. I'm assuming you are talking about the inappropriate material in your second contention. To that I say that there is that stuff for every fandom..... Just read the rules of the internet.

"Now before I start, I just want to clear one thing up. It's okay to dislike My little pony; however, it's not okay to spew insults at the fans of the show. I've seen some of these hate messages and I am in disbelief that it's just because we watch a TV show..... So please, educate me." Here's a couple reasons: 1.The fans never shut up about it, and will try to insert it into everything. 2.most of the fanfiction is incredibly disturbing and creepy. 3.It's 20-40 year old men watching a show aimed at Elementary school age girls. I'm sorry, but I find that to be more than a little creepy. "I find the show is made for both children and adults alike, the same way that the animaniacs reaches to the adults by adding humor they would understand." Yeah, but Animaniacs wasn't made for a very specific audience, it had a bit of everything for everyone. Plus it never made me feel dirty and awkward watching it or feel ridiculous trying to talk about it, or inserting it into everything I do. I also have never written slash fiction about animaniacs.

I find the show is made for both children and adults alike You say that, but from what I've seen the ordinal show was meant solely for young girls. Then the fanbase sort of latched onto it. I don't really see where this "Aw no man! It's meant for all ages!" Argument comes from.

Truth: People are stupid and want something to argue about because they are lowlife bakas who want attention.

"1.The fans never shut up about it, and will try to insert it into everything." This appears to be a select few amount of people. I, for example try to hold a conversation without bringing up random topics.... Most people do. So I don't think it's fair to group all bronies under that statement. "2.most of the fanfiction is incredibly disturbing and creepy." Again it's a small group of people that is making those. Also in my second rebuttal, which you CONVIENIANTLY ignored, I said that every fandom has a dark side like that.... I would also like to mention that some bronies don't even consider people who look that stuff up even part of the fandom "3.It's 20-40 year old men watching a show aimed at Elementary school age girls. I'm sorry, but I find that to be more than a little creepy." Well that's your opinion; however, I don't think that justifies the questioning of our mental health. "Yeah, but Animaniacs wasn't made for a very specific audience, it had a bit of everything for everyone. Plus it never made me feel dirty and awkward watching it or feel ridiculous trying to talk about it, or inserting it into everything I do. I also have never written slash fiction about animaniacs." I feel that I didn't explain this very well. Yes, it is aimed at young females; however, I feel that the show makes an effort to make it so when fathers watch the show with their children, they could enjoy it as well. Males found this appealing and eventually enjoyed the show on their own.

@mageofpower Read the last rebuttal in my last post, it answers your contention.

I feel that the show makes an effort to make it so when fathers watch the show with their children, they could enjoy it as well. And HOW does it do this? Nobody explains this in any detail.

Well I'm referring to the references and the humor.... But we also find other aspects of the show as well...

But we also find other aspects of the show as well... What aspects? Stop being so vague. Give a specific example or two of when MLP had a scene that was meant for an older audience.

The reason I was vague is because everyone has their own reasons. I cannot say that my reasons are the same for everyone.

"Again it's a small group of people that is making those." ...and? I've noticed all the bronies I know IRL either write or read it, and it's still representative of the group. "Also in my second rebuttal, which you CONVIENIANTLY ignored, I said that every fandom has a dark side like that.... " My style of response it to reply to the original post first, then pick apart later posts if I find it necessary. "I would also like to mention that some bronies don't even consider people who look that stuff up even part of the fandom" No True Scotsman Fallacy. Ever heard of it?

Let me interject a new way of thinking. You shouldn't care. I know I don't care. I can very easily say that I've indulged in the more adult aspects of the show. It is my personal preference and if you can honestly say you'll never accept that I will end the conversation here. I enjoy the fandom because it treats these adult matters with the respect and seriousness that they deserve. Either that, or they always achieve the purpose that they are meant for. For example, read the fanfiction "Hard Reset" and you may understand why I /love/ this fandom's grimdark fiction. Also, if you want people to stop shoving their own personal stuff on everything, target the anime threads. I see far more of those lately. Not that I have anything against anime, of course, it's just that you can't target only one person guilty of a crime without paying attention to other cases of the same problem. Oh, and you want a scene targeted at an audience other than the aforementioned Elementary school age girls? Here you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs-dmlEDDkE

"...and? I've noticed all the bronies I know IRL either write or read it, and it's still representative of the group." But you state it as if the entire fandom does that, when actually a majority of us do not do that. You cannot umbrella us under one statement. "My style of response it to reply to the original post first, then pick apart later posts if I find it necessary." Yet you continue to ignore the contention. "No True Scotsman Fallacy. Ever heard of it?" That doesn't falsify the statement, we do not like the people who use the fandom to look at inappropriate content. In fact you just did the "fallacy fallacy"

and I never claimed that "Cloppers aren't bronies" as a fact, I just stated that a majority feel that way I never claimed it was true.

"The reason I was vague is because everyone has their own reasons. I cannot say that my reasons are the same for everyone." so basically what yous saying is that there isn't any real reason but only what you enjoy reading into the situation when it isn't there i see i see

"so basically what yous saying is that there isn't any real reason but only what you enjoy reading into the situation when it isn't there i see i see" What? No! I'm saying that people enjoy the show for different reasons.... Just because it's personal doesn't discredit it.

Yes, but you're refusing to say why YOU enjoy it. Nobody that's asking cares if that holds true for all bronies or not.
