Beetlepaw did a low hissed, Slateclaw had been instructing him to do something, but he wasn't listening. All Bettlepaw was doing was watching # squirrel hop around, knowing he wouldn't go after it because then Slateclaw would scold him. Slateclaw seemed to have finished, his yellow eyes boring into him. Maybe Slateclaw's waiting for an answer, he thought. Beetlepaw could take it anymore, he charged right at the squirrel and plunged his claws into it's neck, grabbing it with his jaw " Beetlepaw, it's not time to hunt! Come back here right now! " Slateclaw hissed at Bettlepaw. Beetlepaw grumbled, padding over to Slateclaw. " But aren't we meant to feed the clan..? " He muttered to Slateclaw, who stared at him angrily " One piece of prey isn't going to affect much, " Slateclaw looked at the small squirrel. " But if you listened, you might actually catch more prey for the clan. " When Beetlepaw got back to the camp he thought. Slateclaw was only # loner, pretending to be # warrior! He must have found out what Slateclaw was doing! That traitor, he thought. A smirk appeared on Beetlepaw's face, he would get Slateclaw exiled tommorow.

:|: The Day of SpottedFerns Kitting :|: It was leaf-bare as the she cat slept her swollen stomach was bulging out of her nest as the snow fell outside. Her green gaze swept the clearing for her mate EagleClaw. She would huff and lie down her breath visible in the cold air. FoxGaze and Bagder kit abode in the small den they slept soundly. She suddenly felt a powerful ripple and grit her teeth. "EagleClaw! Get SageSun!" The she cat hissed. The tall warrior pelted out of the warrior's den disturbing many cats. He pelted to the den and SageSun padded over to the nursery. "It hurts!" the she cat hissed as another ripple passed around her body. " What were you expecting mouse brain!" EagleClaw joked nuzzling her. " Just one more kit," SageSun said as SpottedFern licked her two kits vigorously. At last the small kit made it out into the world. " They are amazing" The Tom purred SpottedFern nodded and lied down as her kits kneaded her belly looking for milk. EagleClaw nuzzled a damp pice of moss towards SpottedFern and she lapped it up. "What are you going to name them? " He purred as SageSun padded out leaving a few bitter borage leaves for her to nibble. "This kit" She pointed to a small brown tom with red spots " Can be Russetkit" She paused and began to lick the tom, " This one can be Hawkkit" She nuzzled a she kit that looked like her father, She wrapped her tail around the newly named Hawkkit, "And that one? " The Tom pointed with his muzzled to a very small albino kit, it had small pinkish red stripes, she was the runt of this litter and the odd one out. "She can be whisperkit" Spottedfern grabbed the tiny bundle of fur and pushed it towards her belly" SageSun padded in and gazed at Whisperkit. " She probably won't survive the night" the cat huffed as she padded out. "I'll keep an eye on her" Spottedfern promised as EagleClaw began to lick the kit. " I'll sleep now" the Queen murmured and fell asleep. " Goodnight kits" EagleClaw nuzzled the bundles of fun and fell asleep next to his mate purring.

Redtail blinked open her eyes, the bright sun's rays peeking through the entrance to the warriors' den. By the looks of it, it was nearly an ######### She couldn't wait until the clouds came over so that she could sleep lazily like a kit again.
