They'll come to respect you whether you lost or won, and might even become friends with you. I did this to someone in elementary school, and now we're pretty good friends since he figured that I wasn't easy prey and was a pretty good fighter.
Telling a teacher solves nothing. The bully will most likely resume their activities, this time with greater fury to retaliate for your actions, you will experience alot of social stigma, and you're going to lose alot of your social reputation and be seen as a wimp.
This is why I always arrange 1v1 duels against my bullies after school. Then we fight, get hurt, declare mutual respect, and the situation ends there. |

Exactly, the teachers are adults, they don't quite understand how school now a days works. You can talk about it but it will barely change the bullies behavior. If you get into a fight, it will usually set people straight.

If you put up a good resistance and keep on fighting, no matter how badly they won, they'll come to respect you. You're sending a message that you aren't just going to stand there and take it. And that makes a bully respect you. |

I've lost fights before, and everytime, they declare mutual respect because they know that I'm not going to stand there and take it (Every fight also boosts my social reputation, rather strangely). |

I have a high social rep because I don't let ROBLOX interfere with my social life. I make friends, I make contacts inside the school, I join clubs. I'm the ex-School President, well known for attempting to start a nuclear and space program and my attempt to muster up a military. These ideas might sound weird, but it's given me alot of social cred.
