Population explosion, that's about most of the blame right there.
When the currency was best, the population was a lot smaller, it just got worse as the population grew because people bought BC and put more money into the currency, as people are doing to the United States of America.
Users farmed money off of these guys and there's where you got your rich people, who used methods to gain massive groups that they just left in the dust mostly, still do.
This can be fixed. A user-made solution would be, for fixing the Group System, forming a new BTMpire out of a bunch of groups which you want to keep, and you also gain a bunch of clans too which you want not too.
Once the Empire is large enough, you give the unwanted groups a few weeks to move over to wanted ones, then after that time passes, you mass exile/destroy them.
Relating the games page, you have to gain a massive amount of money and ad bomb a bunch of decent games to get back up on the Front Page, and with the new bull crap system ROBLOX implanted for the front page, it is 100% harder since once your game hits a certain amount of visits its just about always going to be on the front page, it would take a lot of work.
What will happen in time?
The population, eventually, years from now probably, will shrink, if ROBLOX doesn't go bankrupt before then as they are upgrading their systems to stuff that they won't be able to afford once this time comes.
With the shrinking, ROBLOX will be left in a ruin-like state, where there is a bunch of dead weight everywhere, a huge amount, a lot more then now, everywhere. This could be cleaned, but you'd either need to hack it or somehow get a lot of that stuff from the gone users, and again, to clean it, you'd need to destroy it.
As far as the ROBUX by that time, a way to fix that would be Dev-Exing out most of the bad robux that you can get your hands on and eventually if you have a way to see how much RBX is in trade, you'll see it will even out at a certain amount, that's when to stop.
