[CHAPTER 1] Rolling, are the drums.
The drums have been banged, the flares have been light. I dare say that I've gotten myself in a whole lot of trouble. I smile, solemnly to myself. I look at the small piece of art I drew of my mother. However, that only made myself more frustrated, more...Hurt as a human being. Here I was, equipped with only the defence of a musket and a rusty sabre. And, to be honest, I didn't even know how to use them. Well, I was only poor Riley Thomas. God knows how I ended up here, and even he can't be sure.
DAY [1] - Lexington
7AM, 21st April, 1775
News has come there was a battle of Lexington. They're saying we won. I don't know if its good or bad, to be honest. And then again, they're SAYING we won. Rumour has spread that the Redcoats gave us such a lashing there we came crying home. Others say that they didn't have time to scream. While some say that our coats have been converted to red. The news is, we're going to ambush a British Convoy back into Boston, which is going to be used as perimeter defence. Hopefully, I don't get killed.
10 AM
That's it, the bells have been rung, 10 am, I recall. All of us have risen from the morale protection of our chambers. I write this on memory AFTER THE BATTLE, good news; I'm still in one piece. I can remember the cold breeze smashing itself against our cheek. My fingers, desperately clutching the musket were numb like hell. ''It's going to be a great day.''
11 AM
I can remember tightly clutching the musket, bringing it to the range of my eyes. The musket was trembling. I don't know if it was the weight of the musket or the trembling of my hands which did it. All I know is that it was so inaccurate. As I nervously bent down in the cover of plain grass, aiming silently for his stomach, the musket sprang up as I pressed the trigger and it went right past his ears. I smiled. In agony, he clutched his head tightly and started screaming, ''MY EARS, MY EARS''

Do not post stories, until you know how to make them.

Maybe some constructive criticism would be good? Because I see nothing wrong with it. :)
It's like my Mum said, whatever I give 50% at, I'm the best already. |

Considering it's your mother who said that...ehhhh...
But I like the idea of the Revolutionary War. Most stories that involve fighting are either...*shudder* xXcodmlgpro1v420noscopequickscopeblazingiteverydayXx style. |

Contrary to popular belief, there was no such thing as an "American" in the revolutionary war. Technically, they were still British, and as so, British subjects. So when Revere went on his famous night ride, He didn't shout "The British are here, The British are here! " he, to be more accurate, should have shouted "The Redcoats are here, The Redcoats are here!" Because if he shouted The British were here, then everyone would be confused and have no idea wtf he was talking about. |
|
|
They were called Patriots or Rebels. |
|
|
The Redcoats were called loyalists, while the colonists (excluding those who believe the US should have separated from great Britain), were called the Patriots or the yanks.
did you know Washington grew marijuana on his plantation? |

I meant that you CAN post stories on ROBLOX, only that it'll receive an abundance of criticism, some of which aren't exactly constructive. |
