The year is 1309 S.T. In case you've been living under a rock, it means Secundum Terminus, which translates to 'After End'.
Yeah. The world ended. Nuclear wars are nasty. I wouldn't know, as the war was 1309 years ago, but from the landscape today, you can tell that it was a pretty big war. Everything is scorched and destroyed. Only ruins of buildings, burned out and damaged are what remains of olden society. The human race had a failsafe if this were to happen though. This failsafe is nicknamed R.R.S., or Racial Regeneration System. We call them the Gene Tubes. Basically, you put DNA in, and a living thing comes out. They were intended to be used to make human beings and repopulate the earth, but it didn't turn out that way.
See, there are many factions in the world now. I'll get to that in a later journal entry, but the least desirable one reached the Tubes first. The F.H.I. made it there first. They're the Federation for Human 'Improvement'. That's a big joke. They 'Improve' the human race by using the Tubes to mix human DNA with other species' DNA. They've made many of the demonic creatures that now haunt the Wastes. The Reavers are one of their creations. We don't know what the hell they used to make them, but they're extremely deadly. They only hunt at night, and should be avoided at ALL costs. They're one of the most deadly creatures around, and are very common in dark places. The other four and I are also creations of the F.H.I., though, we're much more stable.
I need to go hunting, so I can't include as much information as I'd like. I've included a sketch of a Reaver for reference. Goodbye.

Erm, a bullet to the head can kill anyone. That's something to think about.
Just by having a bit of different DNA, you're not a god. You're a bit stronger, yes, but not impossible to kill. |
